All this month we are showing you some projects that we have been busy making with our newest fabric collection, Azure Skies. We are so excited about this new line, because it fits us so well….and we have added some fun florals to this line…which is a first for us!
Another thing I love about Azure Skies is that is also matches so many basic fabrics and it is a great line to mix and match so I used some white with navy swiss dot for the pillow background. But it also looks so great with stripes, polka dots and other florals.
The log cabin itself is paper pieced, but this is a great project for beginners because I promise you that it is easy! And if you have never done paper piecing…it is fun new way to add a few new things to your quilting.
There are two parts to this pattern…the first is making the four paper pieced log cabin blocks. Let’s start with that first.
Supplies:
- Various scraps—you will want between 10-15 prints to use for all the blocks
- LOG CABIN PAPER PIECED PATTERN–click to download and print
There is a full tutorial for how to make the log cabin paper pieced blocks HERE.
And then you will need the printable pattern for the pillow…which you can click the link below to get!
You can print out the pdf for the pillow and make as many as you would like!
