The Story of Let Them Be Little
It seems like only yesterday we were building forts, putting together legos, and playing dress up. But we blinked and those toddlers have grown up and now spend time with friends, at school, and pursuing their interests. Those magic toddler years with all the creativity, emerging personalities, and “firsts” come with a price…hard work, little sleep, and lots of messes…sometimes the days seem to last forever…but those years, they go by so fast. Our newest collection “Let Them Be Little” is inspired by those days, with gratitude for all the times we were wise enough to let the dishes wait long enough to curl up in a quilt, with our little ones in our arms, to read a story, sing a song, and rock our babies to sleep. Our little ones are only little once…this line is dedicated to making the most of it.
So, Let Them Be Little is dedicated to those wonder-filled years of childhood and remembering to savor every moment.
This line comes in three color ways; black red and gold, blue and then pink but all of the coordinates work together if you’d like to put them all together as well.
And don’t let the main print fool you, the coordinates in this line work so well as blenders for your other quilting projects! You are going to need to keep them all in your stash for some bright fun colors.
Here is the block we did for Riley Blake Designs “Meet the Maker” Quilt this summer. I love how bright and fun it turned out.
And some darling dresses to make out of Let Them Be Little. The pink dress on the left is a vintage pattern for a pinafore. The skirt on the right is our Vintagely Modern Skirt Tutorial made with an invisible zipper. I have sewn that skirt up so many times! It’s great for all ages.
The collection works great for anything you would want to make for kids of all ages!
We have so much more! Including two different quilt patterns to make out of Let Them Be Little that are coming up as well. We’ve asked blogging friends to make things and we are so excited to show you so much more! Stay tuned this month to see it all.
