Two years ago we were able to be involved in a project of sewing some pillowcase dresses for Little Dresses for Africa as part of a charity sew at our baby lock Common Events and it was such a good experience. We got to hear from the founder a woman who has now devoted her life to making and donating dresses for little girls all over the world who need a little love. It is such a great project.
So for our last week of skirting the Issue this year, we thought we would include Little Dresses for Africa as one of our projects. It really is a worthwhile organization that has gone beyond dresses to digging wells and educating children all over the world.
They do have specific instructions for how they make their pillowcase dresses, and you can find them and print them out HERE.
There are also several videos to show exactly what they do and even some of distributing the dresses to little girls with big smiles! Remember to link up your projects HERE or send us an email of everything you have made so that you can be eligible for some of the amazing prizes!
