Hello! Today we get to share the fabric requirements for our Nautical Summer Quilt Along!
Starting on June 26th we will be releasing a new video every Tuesday throughout the summer that will walk you through how to make two different nautical inspired quilts…and we wanted to give you time to gather your supplies so that you will be able to sew along with us!
So check out the two quilts below, gather your fabric, and get ready to have some sea worthy fun!
(And don’t forget to join us next Tuesday, the 19th, for some nautical flag history and a fun giveaway!)
The first quilt in our quilt along is this traditional take on nautical alphabet flags:
It is a throw/lap sized quilt in red, yellow, blue and white.
The fabric requirements for this quilt are:
Red: 1 yard and 1/4 yard
Yellow: 1/4 yard + 3/4 yard for binding = 1 yard
Blue: 1/2 yard
White: 1 and 1/4 yard
*Backing of your choice: 4 yards
You can either gather this fabric on your own or if you would like to purchase a kit we have limited number available HERE in our shop.
The next quilt we will be sewing up is a modern, more “inspired by”, take on nautical flags:
It is a great baby quilt size in navy, light blue, red, green, and white.
The fabric requirements for this quilt are:
Navy: 2 yards
Light Blue: 1/4 yard
Red: 1/4 yard
White: 1/2 yard
Green: 1/4 yard
Light Grey: 1/2 yard (for binding)
*Backing fabric of your choice: 3 yards
And again, you can either gather this fabric on your own or if you would like to purchase a kit we have limited number available HERE in our shop.
We are excited to get this quilt along going and hope to see you here on Tuesday for nautical flag facts and our giveaway!!!
*Special thanks to our Quilt Along partner…Baby Lock!
