Today we are excited to release our newest quilt pattern….THE DORM ROOM QUILT!
For awhile now we have wanted to design a quilt that mothers and grandmothers could make for their young adults as they head off to college or their first apartment…and finally we have one finished!
(I still have the quilt my grandma gave to me when I went off to college and it is a treasured possession.)
This quilt finishes to approximately 60″ x 92″ which is a great size to put on a twin (or a twin xl) bed.
The simple design is easy to sew and works perfectly with both masculine and feminine fabrics.
For this version of our Dorm Room Quilt we used brand new fabric designed by our friend Lindsay (The Cottage Mama) for Riley Blake Designs….and we may have added in a few of our “When Skies Are Grey” prints as well…because we loved how well they played together!
Lindsay’s new line is called “Vintage Mae” and is absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to get this quilt on my daughters bed. (Of course she is only 6 and not off to college but she does have a twin bed! 🙂 )
And since I have two daughters I made two quilts!
The second one I made is with our Shine Bright fabric line along with some coordinating Riley Blake basics.
I love how clean and graphic it looks!
