If you have been following along with instagram or facebook you will have seen that I am on a bit of an English Paper Piecing kick and it’s such a fun way to sew! I love that I can take it anywhere and have been taking full advantage during ortho and doctor’s office appointments lately. Here is one patchwork block I made for the Shine Bright look book with the elongated hexagon.
And then I am probably the last to realize that two of the jewel pieces sewn together make the cutest hearts!
I use the Sue Daley method of paper piecing with her fussy cut templates and the quick glue pen method. I love that the gluing part is fast and I can make quite a few in a short amount of time.
Here is the back of two of the jewel pieces to show you where I have glued them and then stitched them together. In November I did a Facebook live to show how I stitch the pieces together….you can see the whole video HERE if you want to see my method.
And here’s the start of a Valentine Project with all those cute jewels sewn together. I am using a Fat Quarter Bundle of Shine Bright for mine and I have lots leftover for more EPP projects!
What are you working on this month?
