These simple Pilgrim Hats are perfect for place holders for the little ones at your Thanksgiving table…especially if accompanied with coloring sheets…and you can make them in 3 easy steps.
To make these hats all you need is:
*A black paper cup
*A piece of black cardstock or construction paper
*A button
*Scissors
*Hot Glue
Then….to put them all you have to do is:
#1. Cut a circle from your black paper that is about 1-2 inches larger than the TOP of your paper cup.
#2. Cut the BOTTOM out of your paper cup.
#3. Hot glue the paper circle to the TOP of your paper cup and and the button just above the hat’s new base.
Now all you have to do is fill with pencils, crayons, or markers!
*Note: If you want to get fancy you can add ribbon around the base before adding the button.
*Note: To prevent disagreements I use a white marker to write each child’s name on their hat.
*Note: If you have a kids table it is fun to cover the entire table with butcher paper or brown craft paper and let them color right on the table!
