We are often asked about what patterns would be great for a baby quilt for the beginning quilter. So today I am sharing five of our patterns that are made for someone who is wanting to start quilting and wanting to make a baby quilt either as a gift for a loved new baby or a baby on the way.
The first is the Scrappy Sawtooth Pattern. The finished quilt looks amazing but the instructions are written specifically with a beginning quilter in mind. The PDF pattern (that you download and print right at home) gives step-by-step instructions from cutting up your fabric to finishing and binding your quilt. It’s all there!
The second pattern perfect for a baby quilt is a FREE tutorial on our site to make this darling Gingham Baby Quilt. This quilt uses pre-cut squares of fabric to make the quilt a simple and easy sew. Find the full tutorial HERE.
The next quilt pattern is one of the most popular quilt patterns in our shop. It is called The Saturday Afternoon Quilt and it really is easy enough to make on a Saturday (or anyday!) afternoon. The great thing about this pattern is the larger rectangles are great for showing off fabrics that will make the quilt pop. Find The Saturday Afternoon Quilt Pattern HERE.
The next quilt is also made with simple squares of fabrics, but when they are sewn together they make an amazing quilt. The By Popular Demand quilt is another FREE TUTORIAL from our site and the full cutting and sewing instructions can be found HERE.
And last but not least The Granny Square Quilt makes for a darling baby quilt as well. This pattern is also made from squares that are turned on point to give the look of an old-fashioned crocheted blanket. The full TUTORIAL for this quilt can be found HERE.

Your quilt patterns are beautiful but do you have a pattern for the cloth doll shown on the first page.?
