Today we are finally releasing our Women/Teen, Knit Pencil Skirt Pattern.
We have had this pattern finished for months now…and the paper patterns have been printed and sitting in my closet but we have been waiting to release the pattern during Skirting the Issue.
Why?
Because everyone who makes and donates an item to Skirting the Issue will receive a free PDF download of the pattern!!!
The pattern is available in our shop in both PDF and Traditional Paper Pattern versions and is my favorite garment pattern to date.
Really, it is…I have made myself 9 of these skirts for this summer…9 just for me. And I wear them all the time. In fact I am wearing one right now even as I am typing this!
The pattern is written for use with knit fabrics and I have made plenty with 4 way stretch/jersey knits but I also made one with a floral scuba knit that I LOVE and one with a lycra/spandex blend… and that one is the FABULOUS!
I love how this skirt fits and feels and washes and how easy it is to sew up. I can cut and sew one from start to finish in less that an hour.
There are only 2 seams and it has a flat fitting, hidden, elastic waistband that is fantastic.
It really is a great sew and a sweet skirt.
For more information you can check out the pattern over in our shop!
Happy Sewing!
