Up on our Just Add Sugar Blog Tour today is our good friend Bev from Flamingo Toes and her project has me swooning! Go over and see the cutest hoop art project she made..it’s adorable and then she also gave us her favorite lemon recipe below. I can’t wait to make a pie, I’m on my way to the store this morning and I’m going to pick up all the ingredients!
Sour Cream Lemon Pie
Ingredients:
1 Pie Crust
3 1⁄2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sugar
1⁄4 cup butter
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon lemon rind
1⁄2 cup lemon juice
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, lemon rind, lemon juice, egg yolks and milk.
Cook on medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Add butter and let mixture cool slightly – almost to room temperature. Stir in sour cream and pour filling into prepared pie shell.
Cool completely and cover with whipped cream, or refrigerate and add whipped cream just before serving.
Store in refrigerator.
