If you have been around these parts for any certain amount of time, you will probably know that the churndash patchwork block is one of my all time favorites. It’s just such a simple block to make but makes such a statement, I guess that’s what I love about it. Over the years I have made lots of churndash quilts, but for quilt market we knew we needed to re-create the Churndash quilt block that is in our book (affiliate link), The Simple Simon Guide to Patchwork Quilting.
So, we did. And I LOVE it in the bright yellow. It’s so summery and fun and a great way to use white basic fabric to look great in a quilt.
The fabric used is the bright yellow palm tree print from Just Add Sugar…and I have heard from a little birdie that is in fabric stores now…so check with your local quilt shop!
We have a few more things from market to show you, and some more guest posters who have been working on projects too. See you later this week!
