Do you ever have those weeks where you feel like you are not getting a lot done? That’s been me the last couple of weeks, and try as I might—I feel like by the end of the day I have accomplished nothing. I’ve been trying to sew for Quilt Market, keep up with the demands that the end of the school year brings, attend every baseball game (I think I’ve only made it to 3) and still keep my house all together (you should see the laundry room—oh boy, it’s bad). And I’ve been feeling like a failure.
But I know it will all get done…just maybe not on the timeline I want. So, today I am going to focus on sewing one thing for market and laundry and then tomorrow another task, because slow and steady is going to have to be the goal.
So, if things are a bit slower around here….you know why. It’s because we are both a bit overwhelmed with everything going on.
But hey, I did get one quilt top made and off to be quilted for market last week! (Celebrate the little victories.) And by the time market rolls around somehow it will all get done (even if we are binding quilts on the plane rides there).
I just need to remind myself of the quote above…that beautiful things can happen…even if they are one stitch at a time…
