These quilting and sewing planners are one of those projects that has been on my to-do list for the last couple of years, but I finally had some time over Christmas break to sit down and design what I have wanted to get myself organized for 2017. Here are my sewing and Quilting planners to get my thoughts on paper and get so I can get to work in the new year!
First up is the sewing planner….so I can keep track of all the sewing projects that I want to make. I’ve already printed out about 20 onto cardstock and am going to get a small binder this week to hold them all in. And I made them a printable PDF so that you can use them too. All you have to do is click on the image and then print off as many as you would like too. (You may have to download the Adobe free pdf program if it is not on your computer.)
And here is the Quilting Planner, all ready for the quilts that I want to make in 2017. I have 5 designed out that have been sitting on my sewing table for the last 2-3 months and I am determined to get them done in the next couple of weeks. Again, to print out the quilting planner, just click on the image below and print them out at full size as a PDF document.
The quilting planner even has a place that you can use the grid to design your own quilt right on the bottom of the planner or attach a picture of the quilt you are wanting to make. And notes to keep track of changes that I make along the way—which is something I am always forgetting to do during the quilting process. So, now hopefully I don’t have an excuse!
Here’s to getting all our projects organized in 2017—because I need all the help I can get!

Thank you for the organizer pdf! I’ve seen so many calendars lately but all I really need is something to keep the project information in one place. Sometimes I look at my project list and I’ve forgotten what a particular quilt was going to look like…most of it was in my head and not on paper. Great idea!

Thank you, I usually write on old envelopes, a church bulletin or anything handy when an idea comes along. I think I will keep one handy at all times. Happy New Year! Happy Quilting.

Thank you very much for these planners. One of my goals this year is to be more organised and plan out what I want to make so these will be so useful 🙂

Thank you soooo much for these great planning tools! I have made 3 pairs of exercise pants for my son-in-law and can never remember what pattern I used!! This will give me a place to record all the pertinent specs and hopefully I won’t have to waste any time trying to figure out what I did!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Blessings to you for the new year!!

Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful files. This is just what I need to help me organize for this year. My word for the year is “organize” so this fits in perfectly.

Thank you, ladies, for the two planning do cuments! I have the notebooks, and the sheet protectors, etc., so now I too, will. be better organized and less apt to. forget something, (like, maybe thread, or the right kind of thread!). The only thing I might add would be a place to put a photo of the finished quilt, especially if it is a gift,. Also , a photo of the recipient of the quilt! After I give away a quilt, I have the photo for memories, but also, to show to family or friends when talking about quilts, etc. . Sometimes we just need a nudge….so, thank you for the nudge.

Your sewing and planning diagrams are exactly what I have been needing. I can never carry quilting designs in my head! I do have one issue with them, though.. They’re too small for my eyes to see them. Now that I’m old enough that I have time for quilting (at long last!) my eyes aren’t what they used to be. Do you have a larger version that I can print off? They appear to be very organized. I know I’m asking a great deal of you. Please forgive my pestering. Thank you for what you have already produced!

I have papers all over the place with patterns and such printed out. I use Pinteest and Fave Crafts or Fave Quilts. When I want to make something, I look in my boards, pick a pattern and print out the instructions. If necessary, I go shopping for a fabric or notion I may need.

What a brilliant idea, finally I can have all the information i need at hand. Much better than all the back of envelopes and so many sketch notebooks, I can never find the quilt project I had planned for my fat quarters , charm packs etc etc.
I plan to add an extra page opposite the planner page to make notes and a pic of the final quilt, this will save so much time and make better use of my precious sewing time.
Thank you once again

Super duper cute planners! And so practical too!! I am a beginner quilter and I have all these ideas and projects swirling around in my head….and all over sticky notes 🙂 Now my ideas are beginning to flow on to these planners and I won’t forget them. Way more organized than sticky notes……and did I mention cute?. Thanks for sharing!
