Today we are having fun participating along with other homemakers in the Wayfair Fall Thanksgiving Centerpiece Challenge. The challenge included Wayfair sending several bloggers 2 beautiful wooden trays and then we were asked to style one or both for a fall tablescape. I love the trays that Wayfair sent, they are the perfect farmhouse touch to add to our kitchen table and will work for so many seasons. And here’s how I styled one of them for our Thanksgiving Centerpiece.
This year we are having a quiet Thanksgiving at home with just our immediate family which I am excited about. We did this a couple of years ago as well as it was such a relaxing weekend of making rolls and pies, playing lots of board games, and snuggling with quilts in the basement. I am such a homebody so it’s totally my kind of Thanksgiving (although we may try to sneak a movie in on one of the days). My kids are dying to see the new Disney movie.
So for theThanksgiving Centerpiece, I decided to keep it pretty traditional with some faux pumpkins, greenery and fall berries. Luckily, most of these supplies I had on hand and the only things I bought were the new candles and candleholders to go in the middle to be able to light for our Thanksgiving dinner. I think I only spent less than $5 on the whole project. I think the kids will get a kick out of lighting (and re-lighting 😉 the candles.
I would love to hear about your Thanksgiving plans….are you doing a quiet one like we are, or are you leaving to go see family? Also, do you have any suggestions for fun board games that you have played that we could add to our list to play over the weekend?
