A year and a half ago Elizabeth and I were lucky enough to debut our first fabric line with Riley Blake Designs. The line was called “Four Corners” and was a perfect representation of where each of our styles meet in the middle. (You can watch the video with all the details about it HERE.)
As nerdy as it sounds…it was kind of like a dream come true…we couldn’t believe that we had a fabric line…us…who were we to have a fabric line…and yet…there it was! It was so exciting. I felt (and still feel) so lucky. Since that time we have released another full line of cottons (When Skies are Grey…watch for a fabric tour coming in January), a mini collection of double gauze (which we will be sharing soon), and debuted a new line (Just Add Sugar) coming in spring 2016 as well as this line…and every time, every line…I still feel as lucky and as excited that I felt with that first line.
This line, however, feels special to us because it is a mini line that is a follow up to that very first line. It was originally designed just for knits…however…days before it’s debut we were asked how we would feel if it was released in quilting cottons as well.
(How would we feel? We would feel great! Like we would ever pass up a chance for more quilting cottons!!)
Because it is a follow up to Four Corners it has that same geometric, southwestern vibe…and carries over a trio of colors that we used Four Corners but in a more muted pallet (greys, blues, and a coral in place of the orange).
By Popular Demand is currently being shipped to your favorite brick and mortar and online shops (we will provide a list of shops soon!) and so with this fabric just hitting the stores we are excited to kick off a blog tour.
Through out the entire week we have some of our sweet friends sharing what they have made with our knit and then next week we will share some of our own creations, new patterns, and have a giveaway. We hope you will follow along with us. We are really looking forward to sharing this exciting time with all of you!
