We kind of did some room swapping this summer to give everyone a little more space…and I think they worked out great. Most of the things we used in the teen room makeover were re-purposed from other rooms, but a few runs to Target and Home goods helped out too for the accessories. Here’s what we did….
I should have taken a “before” picture, but all that was in the room was the two beds, the headboards and the curtains.
The desk in the middle was from his room upstairs as were the wooden snow shoes and the blue pillows. The rug was from home depot and the smaller fur ones are from Ikea. We also added two new shelves at the foot of each of the beds from Target to hold lots of memorabilia and books and things.
I am still on the hunt for some vintage wooden skis to put on the left-hand wall opposite the snow shoes, but so far haven’t found any on any yard sale sites. The bulletin boards are from Target as is the lamp on the desk. The chair was from Home Goods.
Here is a good view of each of the sides of the room where the beds and the bookshelves are located….
The large blue pillows were re-purposed and the comforters, red and lobster pillows are all from Target.
The blankets at the foot of the bed I found while we were on vacation in Mexico and I love them so much. They are even more beautiful in person.
I can’t wait to show you the other room we did….which was a surprise one while Hannie was at camp. So, it was all done in one week…..show you soon!
