A long time ago in a land far far away Elizabeth and I made one or two or 968 million tiered skirts….
And somewhere along the way Elizabeth didn’t finish this one:
And time passed…
…and her daughter grew out of it…
So she gave it to me.
And time passed…
Until one day I packed up my sewing room and ran across an entire bin of unfinished projects that I forgot even existed.
I couldn’t believe how many unfinished projects I had in that bin!
(Or how many similar bins of unfinished projects I had hidden around the room in various locations….)
Anyway, deep inside that bin was this partially finished skirt.
And somehow that unfinished skirt was one of the items in a random box of things that ended up getting loaded into the trunk of my car instead of the storage unit.
So yesterday I sewed it up…and finished a skirt that was 6 years in the making!
It felt good.
Both to sew and to finish up an unfinished project.
And who knows…this may start a new trend…
…where I finish every project I start…or have started…and reach some sort of sewing nirvana.
Unfortunately all those previously started projects are in storage for at least two more weeks…and, well I have a short attention span.
Which reminds me…any one try those Cracked Pepper Triscuits? I just barely discovered them and they are delicious.
