I had these grand plans to hand sew a million projects this summer. Okay, maybe 10 summer stitching projects. I literally had them all laid out on my sewing room counter along with the fabrics and all the trims and details that they needed….it was going to be lovely afternoon sewing hours.
And guess what? They are all still sitting there.
But it’s summer….and I have to tell myself that we’ve had a great summer. We’ve played, we’ve been swimming, we’ve played in the sand and had a great time with cousins and on a family vacation. And so I am remembering that my kids are little and I am going to blink and the summers are gone….so the sewing can wait.
The only thing I got done was some hand-sewing time….which I also fell in love with this summer…and although I may not have a quilt until the year 2023—it will be memories of summers spent with my kiddos.
I did do a live FB video early in the summer to show you how I make hexies if you are interested. You can HEAD HERE to see the full video.
Did you get a lot of sewing done this summer?
