Remember the Shoo-Fly Quilt from last year? Well, I did finish it last fall, but I realized that I never posted the finished quilt!
The block was one of our “Quilt Blocks of the Month” from 2015 and you can find the full tutorial to make one of these simple quilt blocks HERE. This quilt itself is made up of nine fat quarters (one fat quarter for each shoo -fly block) and then I used Kona white for the sashings and a light grey swiss dot for the border.
We also used this block to teach a class about making the full quilt and I put together a full page PDF Pattern so you can print it out and use it to teach yourself or someone else to quilt. CLICK HERE FOR THE PDF PATTERN.
Melissa from Sew Shabby Quilting for me and I love the offset diamond pattern that she did…it completely sets off the different fabrics! Love it…

Really lovely! I like that your border is a pale grey…It’s soft change that’s not overly jarring to the rest of the quilt palette.

Beautiful colors and I love the way you quilted it.

I love this! Do you have yardage amount for the smashing and borders?
