For years (literally) Elizabeth and I have talked about putting out our own line of patterns. And I have no idea how many hundreds of hours we have spent drafting the patterns for this dream line. Countless dresses, skirts. sleeves, and collars have been drafted….and are lined up ready to go so it’s kind of funny that our first ever pattern to be released is a teepee pattern!!!!
Although…if I think about it….a playhouse teepee made for adventures with children only seems fitting to be our first pattern. Especially when considering that Elizabeth and I started (and restarted) sewing again for and because of our children. And so today we are beside ourselves with excitement to officially release our Playhouse Teepee Pattern!!!
Even as I’m typing this I can’t believe it is for real! We finally are releasing a pattern!!! (It seems too good to be true!) Right now the pattern is for sale over in our shop for $12.95. (You can find the listing for the pattern in our shop HERE.) The PDF version will be out soon (really soon we promise!) but for now we only have the paper version available and they are ready to be shipped out this minute!
I remember the day that we decided to make a teepee. Elizabeth and I were in my basement and began construction with water weenies and a sheet to make the first prototype…next we moved on to using the bean sticks from my garden and some crazy 80’s fabric…and during this process my husband came downstairs and asked what in the heck we were doing! We told him we were working…obviously!! 🙂 But from those beginnings came this pattern and we just love it.
And to make it even better we were able to put one together using our new Four Corners fabric line! (Which just arrived in the warehouse and is shipping to stores this week!!!)
We are excited today and feel so so thankful for all the opportunities that we’ve had.

PS: Watch for the doll kits coming next week to make the dolls that you can see pictured underneath the teepee!!!

Nora Gonzales says
I love the fabric and it’s colors. I’m making one for my grandson and I love how it’s coming out. Still putting the finishing touches on it.
Darlene says
Has anyone made the the tee pee with cotton quilting fabric without interfacing? How did it turn out?
Elizabeth says
Darlene,
We made one of our first samples without the interfacing and it didn’t stand up well at all. You really do need the interfacing to make it stand up and look good.
