I have a girlie who notes writing. She writes in the car, she writes stories at school and often times when I peek in her room I find her at her corner desk….deep in writing and illustrating some new story or creative endeavor. So with that in mind I am excited to share our June project with the Minc Machine….embellished notebooks! The perfect summer gift for my creative writer.
Here’s what you need if you want to make some too:
*Minc Foil Applicator Machine (sold at Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann Fabrics and Craft Stores, or even online) and some of Heidi’s cards and papers that are for sale
*Foil ( I used silver and gold)
*Dollar Store Journals (I got these at Dollar Tree)
And here’s how I made them…
Place your foil (gold side up) on top of your printed card and place into the Minc machine.
When it came out it looked like this! (I cut around it….)
Then embellish your notebooks any way you’d like! For the black one I added some polka-dot paper underneath and some gold ric rac around the card. Then I used rubber cement to glue it all down on top of the notebook.
For the pink notebook, I used the straight card from Heidi Swapp’s collection and the silver foil and glued it straight to the notebook.
I did add a cute handmade white pom pom to the spine of the pink one too…that could double as a bookmark that you can see below.
Happy Creating!
