Crocs for summer…

Recently I got a fun package in the mail… some new Crocs for summer! When I picked up the box the first thing that I noticed was that it was ridiculously light… and I wondered if I had been sent some of the shoes I had looked at for Grace instead of the wedges that I had ordered for myself from Crocs new Spring/Summer 2015 line.  But when I opened it up I was pleasantly surprised to find my shoes safely snuggled inside!
And they were just as cute as I hoped they would be… plus light… like super crazy lightweight.

Really, I’m not a big fan of shoes.  Never have been.  I mean I like to look at them and buy them but when it comes to wearing them I am right out.  For as long as I can remember I’ve put my shoes away as soon as the snow starts to melt and don’t get them out again until the potential for frost bite is inevitable.  And even then, once I’m indoors the shoes are off… and I am notorious for leaving them behind everywhere… in my classroom, in the library, in the mall… wherever.  Shoes and I have never been close friends. I’m a total creature of comfort.  And even though I love wedges and I think they look adorable with jeans or skirts alike, I’ve never purchased any because I knew that they wouldn’t be comfortable and I knew that I wouldn’t wear them.  But then I heard that Crocs had some wedges that were as comfortable as they were cute. And so with summer coming I decided to try them out and I ordered the A-leigh Shimmer Leather Wedge in black.  I wasn’t sure if I would like them but it was worth a try.  If they didn’t work then I would just add them to my good-to-look-at-but-not-to-wear shoe collection… but if they did work… then my feet would thank me… especially when walking across the hot parking lots to buy snow cones. Sooooo… what happened? Well, I’m happy to report that the shoes are even more comfortable than they are cute!  For real!  They are soft and cushioned and light and wonderful.

Now all I need is for summer to come… QUICKLY!!!
