Happy Wednesday! I can’t believe that April is almost gone…it has seriously flown by. And here comes May…full of last day of school events and all its business. Things are probably seeming a little quieter around here but I can assure you that if you were behind the scenes with us, it would look a little like crazy town, because that’s what it is.
So, here’s what we are doing this week:
*Unpacking from SNAP. SNAP deserves its own post and I promise one is coming…because it was amazing how many sponsors and products were donated to the sewing rooms there. And don’t worry….we are saving a lot of the goodies for YOU! We know that not everyone can go to a conference like that, and every year we wish we could take everyone…so we’ve pulled out all of the kits and sewing supplies to give away. Be on the lookout for that post.
*Health issues. Both liZ and I are going through some “off” results from blood work and labs and are having lots of doctors’ appointments, high-dosage pills (me) that are a bit nauseating, and poor liZ is even doing some IV treatments in the hospital. But we feel like we are both on the mend 😉 or getting there soon enough.
*Quilt Market. I do promise we are sewing behind the scenes (I sewed 4 things yesterday) but they are mostly for Quilt Market which is coming up in a couple of weeks….and we are trying to get the finishing touches done (or some things even started). I am in the process of binding two quilts and making some other fun goodies that will be displayed there. More details on that too 😉
And now that I shared what’s going on over here…..what’s on your sewing table this week? Any fun projects?

Oh I hope you both feel better soon! I’m feeling free, I just finished a quilt for a friend that was her Great Grandmother’s quilt blocks that were paper pieced on 1941 newspaper. I really enjoyed it and it turned out so vintage looking. But I’m ready to move on. I have baby things to make for my new grandson arriving soon. And I promised my granddaughter a new bed quilt 🙂

Oh wow Teri, that quilt sounds amazing…but super time consuming! I would love to see a picture 😉

My granddaughter received an iron- just her size- to use while sewing. So I’ve been teaching her how to use it to press seams while constructing a garment. Imagine a 2nd Grader with a hot iron….she’s a bit wild with that thing! Our sewing lesson this Friday is about the importance of pressing while constructing a garment. Check it out on Sew Much To Give Blog this week.

Oh! I wish I had paid more attention. I had no idea you were at Snap. I crashed that conference as I live here in Salt Lake and a friend of mine was there doing all sorts of fun things. So I joined in for a couple hours of catching up and laughing.
I do hope you guys both start feeling better soon. I’m impressed you are still sewing a ton of stuff for market. Take care of yourselves!

I have been quiet on my blog too, but it is total CRAZY TOWN here as well!
Teachers are out on strike tomorrow, so I have my kids plus others that don’t have childcare.
Should be a party!
Hope you both are on the upswing!

I am sorry that you two haven’t been feeling well. I haven’t either. I pray that we can all bear it and hopefully feel better. I look forward to see what you are making with those pretty fabric scraps. Today, I would love to finish some barbie raised garden beds, and a crochet waves blanket. Then I can’t decide if I should make matching skirts for my daughter and niece (who are the same age), or try out that cute jumpsuit idea of yours. Thank you for all the wonderful ideas. (They give me something to look forward to.) 🙂

Oh darn Kim!!! We would have LOVED to chat!

Healing for you too Alison 😉

Wishing you two good health soon! I just finished writing a new quilt pattern and am working on piecing it. Chain piecing 336 triangles to 168 parallelogams. Thought it would be worse, but my audiobook is making it relaxing, though. Can’t wait to see it come together.
