The pom pom trend is a HUGE one this spring and it is a fun one to add to any accessory that you already have…and today we will show you how to add pom poms to anything that you already have in your closet. The first thing you will need is some pom pom trim. Pom Poms come in LOTS of different sizes and colors and are usually sold by the yard. For today’s project we chose the mini-pom poms and an infinity scarf that I found on clearance for .97 cents at Old Navy! for a fun spring piece to add to any wardrobe.
The next thing you will need to sew pom poms on is a zipper foot. It is a foot that looks like this one below and is used so that the foot can go around the pom poms without getting stuck on each and every little ball. It usually comes with your sewing machine….so just open your drawer or compartment and look for your zipper foot.
See how the foot will not get stuck on the pom pom trim? It’s perfect for sewing zippers and pom poms 😉
All you need to do is pin the pom pom trim onto your item and then stitch along the top line of the trim to permanently attach the poms to your scarf. An you are done!!!

Very cute projects. I’m old enough that I remember when pom-pom trim was so … yucky! lol Now it’s back with an attitude and oh so cute! I have some I’ve been saving, I think I should go use it!
