Four Corners Fabric Line

For almost two years Elizabeth and I have been working on putting together a fabric line…and today we finally get to share it with all of you!  We are so excited that it is really happening that we have to keep pinching ourselves.  We feel like the luckiest girls in the world.

Now, I know what you’re thinking.  Two years?  Isn’t that kind of a long time to create a fabric line?  And the answer to that is yes, yes it is.  But even though Elizabeth and I are so alike in many aspects we are very different in so many ways which meant that this project was a real meeting of the minds.  Because we wanted to create something that represented both of our styles and would incorporate our personal tastes it took us a looong time to finally land on a style that we could both be 100% happy with.

It would be impossible to count all the different styles, drawings, sketches, and full fabric lines that we created before everything finally came together with our “Four Corners” line.  Which, incidentally, is how the name came to be.  You see, the Four Corners area of the United States is where four different states all align perfectly in one spot and this is how we feel about this fabric line…the designs for each print are where mine and Elizabeth’s styles and sensibilities meet in the middle.

Elizabeth LOVE LOVE LOVES geometric prints, clean lines, shapes, and designs….and the color white.

I on the other hand enjoy bold prints, the color black , and a sense of the dramatic.

So we feel like this line is a good mix of each of our styles.

 

We have more that we want to say and share with you….what we have shown you today is the black, white and gold color wave of the fabric line but it is also being printed in two more color waves….inspired by one of my favorite places:

 

I was born, raised, and have spent my entire life traveling around, vacationing, and exploring the southwest.  And one of my favorite destinations is Southern Utah.  For more than a decade my husband and I have spent our spring break in Southern Utah and I am never disappointed by the scenery.  There is nothing like those impressive red rocks towering in front of a beautiful blue sky.  I’ve run races through it’s deserts, climbed it’s mountains, and explored lava tubes inside it’s earth…and with all the sweet memories it holds it my heart I am so glad that it is part of the inspiration for our fabric line.  (That said…it should be hard to figure out the other color waves for “Four Corners” :).  )

We will be sharing more about our fabric soon…more pictures and projects as well as some new patterns and other fun things that will be coming with the release of the fabric line.
