Today is about the easiest project I’ve done in a long time! It took than less ten minutes and I really do like the results.
A few days ago I found some great deals at H&M….some really great deals! In fact, all of their clearance items were 50% off so I picked up a few new tops. One of them was this super soft light blue sweater and I knew it was perfect for something I’d been wanting to try for awhile now…adding lace to the hem!
I’ve seen these laced sweaters at places like The Gap and Anne Taylor but they are so expensive…..
However, this sweater only cost $3.50 and I had some leftover lace from another project so it was a match made in heaven!
All I did was simply sew the lace to the wrong side sweater right along its prestitched hem line.
I began and ended my sewing in the back where I also sewed the lace together.
Literally it took less than 10 minutes…and I love it.
Hooray for easy projects! (And for $3 shirts!)

Yay for $3 shirts!! And yay for lace that makes them look like $60 shirts! I’ve got a Craft Gossip post scheduled for later today that links to your tutorial:

I love it! I’ve been wanting to try this too, but I’m having a hard time finding the wide lace. Do you happen to remember where you bought yours? TIA!
