Since the beginning of the year we’ve made a lot of changes…well…maybe not so much changes as they are additions and today we just wanted to go over them just in case you missed any.
Let’s start with Our Quilt Block of the Month:
The first Monday of each month we are sharing a tutorial showing how to make various quilt blocks and then through out the month we will sprinkle in posts where we have used that kind of block both in quilting and sewing projects. In January we introduced one the Half Square Triangle block and this month we featured the Rail Fence. And as for next month….well, you will have to wait a few weeks to find out!
Next we have our newsletter:
Every Wednesday we send out a newsletter to our subscribers….and we fill it with behind the scene news, thoughts for the week, links to projects, and announcements that we haven’t shared on the blog yet. We only send them once a week and only on Wednesdays. So if you’d like to sign up to receive them you can go over to the sidebar (on the right hand side of the screen) and subscribe where it says “SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER” or you can email us (at: simplesimonandco (at) gmail (dot) com) telling us you’d like to sign up for the newsletter and giving us the email you’d like us to send it to.
Then there is my new favorite thing: Nacho Thursdays
Last week we held our first ever Nacho Thursday and it was so much fun! Here’s what it is: every other Thursday over on our Facebook page we post a question at 8:00 PM (MST) and then invite all of you to join us there for a live, hour long chat where we can comment back and forth to each other in a live hang out!
But why is it called Nacho Thursdays? Well, because while I am hanging out typing back and forth with all of you ladies I am sitting home in my pajamas eating nachos!
Last week when we typed in the question we weren’t sure any one would be there to talk with us…but then as the names and comments started popping up we were ECSTATIC! Really, it was so fun to talk to all of you. No, it wasn’t as good as being all together sewing (and eating nachos) together but it was close and we are excited for our next night! (Which will be Thursday the 26th at 8 pm (MST) Hope to see you all there!
And finally Elizabeth and I finally got on board the Pinterest train:
We admit that we are a little old fashioned but we finally took the plunge. We’ve actually had a Simple Simon Pinterest account for awhile but never really used it until now….but we are finding that it really is such a fun place to share ideas and be inspired! If you want to follow along with us you can find our Pinterest boards HERE. And we would love some boards to follow so if you have some that you think we’d like…sewing, quilting, entire boards dedicated to salsa recipes, whatever please please please send us a Pinterest invite we would love to follow along with you! (So just invite us to your Pinterest party already…sheesh!)
