I’m not sure we say it often enough but we are so very thankful for all of you.
We love your emails, comments and Facebook likes.
So many of you ladies we have never “met” but we feel like you are a part of our inner circle of friends. Elizabeth and I talk about so many of you so often….as if you all lived in our neighborhood….and it confuses our husbands (they never know who is “real” and who is an “internet” friend…although to us it’s all the same).
We truly appreciate you spending a little bit of your precious time here with us. Every single one of you who click onto our site help us to do what we love—and that is share our love of sewing and family. That time you spend with us is appreciated…very much. Very much indeed.
We wish we could send you all a thanksgiving care package because this year, most especially, our hearts are full of thanksgiving for each of you. Because of all of your support we have coming up in these next few months fantastic things that we will get to share…and we are grateful.
So today we have a heartfelt “thank you” give away from us to one of you. It’s a care package of some of our favorite things to help kick start your holiday sewing:
*A Fat Quarter Bundle from Riley Blake Fabrics
*A Box of Colored Thread
*A New Rotary Cutter
*A New Seam Ripper
(And quite possibly a few other goodies that we have tucked away.)
All you have to do to enter is to leave us a comment telling us what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving season.
(And then if you want another chance to win “like” us on Facebook and leave us a separate comment so that we know to put your name in the hat a second time!)
Good Luck and Thank You Again
….we couldn’t do this without all of you….
-liZ
(Ok…and if you want a third chance you can follow us on Instagram…just leave that in a separate comment as well so we can add your name in the drawing again as well!)
To start, I am thankful for this blog and all the great ideas you two share!
Than the list goes on from there: my kids, my husband, family, Jesus, friends…
and, yes, even smoothies, which I love and make just about every day.
There is so much to be thankful for!
I am thankful for my family, and more specifically our good health this past year.
I am thankful that I have started sewing this year. It will be completely 1 year next week since I’ve got my lovely sewing machine. In one year, sewing has improved my self-confidence, enriched my previously wasted free times and inspired people around me about importance of self-producing instead of just consuming. I am so thankful!
I am thankful for my little grandsons.

It sounds cliche, but I am thankful for family. We moved away from family for almost 9 years and we are so thankful to be back. I am thankful that my kids can grow up with their cousins and create new memories and traditions. On Thanksgiving we will host 20 family members and I could not be more thrilled. The number could grow, as we take in strays, no one should be alone on a holiday. If I am being really honest, I am really thankful that we have the space and the means to have everyone. The work will start days ahead, and it will be so loud (minus once the food hits the table) and clean up is never fun, but I seriously can not wait. I started planning last week.
I am so thankful for my family and my roommates who I’m living with my senior year of college. They are an amazing group of girls.

Its hard to pick 1 thing to be thankful for! Last year was a hard year for my family in many ways, but all in all I find myself being thankful that the ones in my family who are sick are still with us, that God has provided for us thru joblessness , after 11 years of marriage I haven’t driven my husband crazy & that as much as my 4 kids make me lose my mind (they are 5, 3, 2 & 10 months & none of them are in school yet- home with me all day!) I still love them with all of my heart. Lots to be thankful for!

I am thankful for my amazing husband who has helped me more than he will ever know as the 1 yr anniversary of my Moms passing approaches. I am so thankful that all of my grown children and will be together at Thanksgiving this year. My youngest has been working overseas for almost 2 years so this will be the first time in many months that we have all been together. As an extra blessing I have a sweet granddaughter and a wonderful son-in-law who will also be with us.

I am so unbelievably thankful for my family. My husband is such a gift that I can’t even put into words how thankful I am for him. My children are healthy and happy and these wonderful, unique little people – they crack me up daily. I have two awesome parents who are young enough to be active participants in my life and the lives of my children; in fact, my dad watches my kids during the week while I’m at work. I have a great younger brother who has turned into such a pal. I am also fortunate to have great in-laws who, while so different from my own family, love my children so dearly that it almost takes my breath away. I am truly blessed, and so incredibly grateful for all these wonderful people!

They may be far away geographically, but mentally, we share the same little padded room and eat pudding at snack time. I LOVE MY PALS!

PS. I’ve liked you on Facebook a little while ago. 🙂
I’m thankful for my family and friends, for health, peace, happiness 🙂
I’m thankful everyone in our family is healthy.
I already follow you on Facebook
I am thankful for my husband and for him allowing me to try and make mistakes with all of my sewing projects.
I’m thankful that I had a job to return to after my maternity leave.
I am thankful for my family and for being able to bring comfort to people through prayer quilts I sew with with my sewing group.
I am thankful to have a job. Sometimes it seems that it is not enough to make it month to month but at least I have an income to be able to provide for my family.
I am thankful for my family, and my baby grand-daughter.
I am thankful for our brand new baby, all fresh and healthy! (and also for our other 5 littles!)
There are so many things that I am truly thankful for, but I think for the past 7 years there is one thing that is always at the forefront of my mind. I am so thankful for the advances that have been made for Type 1 diabetics. My daughter was diagnosed at age 7. But what I am always the most thankful for is that her illness wasn’t anything worse. There are so many families who have to deal with such awful, tragic illnesses and my heart goes out to them and it makes me so appreciative that we haven’t had to deal with anything like that.
