From the beginning of blogging time Elizabeth and I have been constantly on the look out for how to make sewing, crafting, and homemaking affordable. We are always searching for deals and trying to find ways to save money. And heaven knows we have done everything from frequenting thrift stores to upcycling, to boarding an airplane with over 100 pounds of inexpensive fabric!
But then when it comes time to post about our money saving adventures we feel badly that we can’t share the bargains with all of you. And up until now we really haven’t been able to…however…over the past few months we have been thinking and we’ve come up with a plan.
On the first Monday of every month we will find a bargain, daily sewing deal, or inexpensive item that we CAN share with all of you. And while we haven’t gotten all the details set in stone we do know that it will the first Monday of every month and that it will only be items that we love and that we are just going to jump right in and get started today!
Sooooo…..
Today we have put together some charming little sewing machine necklaces. They are 18 inches long and are the perfect gift for yourself or any other sew-er or quilter in your life (they would be the PERFECT holiday gift!). The only thing is that we have a limited number of them….so don’t delay if it’s an item that you really want.
You can find them in the store HERE or HERE.
And next month…..the item is one of my favorites. Can’t wait to show you.
PS—You can win 2 (one for you and one for a sewing friend) on Instagram today! And don’t worry if you’ve already ordered yours and you win…we will refund your purchase and send another along 😉 Good luck!

If you are looking for a bargain, and ever find yourself in CT, you are welcome to stay in my home and I will take you (and Liz) to Affordable fabrics, my favorite fabric store. All fabric is just $2.99 a yard. Bring an extra suitcase, or we could ship your fabric home. I buy the most beautiful quilting fabric, but they also have apparel and home decorating fabric. Some brands recently bought are Andover, Stonehenge, P& B, Red Rooster, etc. Happy Sewing.
