Today we want to share one of our absolute favorite skirts with you and perhaps the easiest—a paper bag skirt. I seriously love the little ruffle detail around the top and they are perfect for wearing cute belts.
We actually made a short video a couple months ago to show you how easy these skirts can be.
Please head over to see how to make one….because they are PERFECT for skirting the issue—they are fast, an easy sew and you can make one or a lot more in an hour.
Happy skirt making! And a sincere thank you for sewing along with us this month. We have been talking about this non stop about how kind the facebook messages, emails and the comments that we have received and about all of you sewing along….it means so, so much. Really.

I have to know where you bought this striped fabric, and what type of fabric it is. I have been searching for a thicker cotton, with wide stripes to make a vintage inspired skirt out of.

I honestly can’t remember where we got it….I’m pretty sure though it came from Hobby Lobby and is Duck Cloth. Hope that helps! 🙂

You’ve done it again! The skirt is beautiful and the pink belt is a nice touch.

I’m not sure what my problem is but I can’t seem to find the video anywhere. Am I just not seeing a link? Help! I have always hated sewing, but suddenly I want to make one of these skirts. There’s NO way I can do it without your help.

Oh for shame! I just found it after searching for over 15 minutes. Sorry!
