Today we are talking about Shoe Jewelry so you can decorate your KEDS!
Keds seem to be all the rage this summer and my girls have jumped on the bandwagon. Which is fine by me…I grew up wearing Keds and love that they are making a come back!
Grace and I actually made these “shoelace bracelets” a few weeks ago. We had a rare afternoon to ourselves and we went shoe jewelry crazy!
Here are the supplies that we used:
And here is one (of the 50) shoe bracelets that Grace made for her shoes:
She wanted to make it a “Frozen” one so she picked beads that she thought looked like ice. And was pretty proud of her arrangement.
We really did have a lot of fun camped out on the floor, surrounded by beads, and making piles of these Keds decorations. And we didn’t stop with Graces shoes…we made some for Ruth:
And I even made some for myself:
(Now I just have to buy myself some Keds to go with them!)
I really had so much fun making these with Grace…suddenly I was 10 years old again and my 7 bead combination was the most important thing in the world. We giggled and talked and….well, I decided I need to do more of these kinds of projects with my Grace.
(Which is perfect since I bought enough supplies to make roughly 3.9 million of these shoelace bracelets! So if any of you out there want one…..)
