Today we are part of the Riley Blake Quilted Cotton Tour around blog land. Each day you will see a new project made out of Riley Blake’s new quilted fabrics! Today is all about a 15 minute sewing machine cover and how to make it. Here is what you need to do…
Materials:
1/2 yard of Riley Blake Quilted Fabric
1 package of double fold bias tape
2- 4 inch pieces of elastic
scraps of fabric for words (optional)
fusible interfacing for letters (optional)
Step 1: Measure your sewing machine, over the top and widthwise. Then cut your fabric. Mine was 29 inches by 16 inches but it will depend on your sewing machine.
Step 2: Round the corners of your rectangle. I used a lid to my button container.
Step 3: Cut out your letters for the front. Iron fusible interfacing to the back and pin on your cover. 
Stitch letters on.
Step 4: Add bias tape binding.
Step 5: Sew elastic on sides.
And you are done!
