A few nights ago Gracie and I made another one of her “Must Have Summer Maxi Dresses“.
She chose the fabrics and then I sewed it up using the same steps I used in the tutorial I put together for her first “must have summer maxi dress“:

The only change we made to the dress this time was letting Grace choose the fabrics and adding a shorter, knee length layer on top of the maxi layer.
She’s kind of impressed with herself.
(She even has plans for more…and heaven help me with her fabric choices!!! This one is a see through stretch knit on top of thrifted polyester!)
These really are great little dresses….easy to make, fun to wear, and almost impossible to ruin. (Even with crazy 5 year old fabric combos!)
We definitely have more of these on our to do list for this summer. If you have a little one you should try sewing one up. My Grace LOVES them.
