It’s time for another installment of “Behind the Blog”.
Because we are celebrating our 4th blogging birthday we’ve been thinking a lot about who we are, where we’ve been, and “growing up”. In fact, Elizabeth and I have had a lot of late night meetings this month and have done a lot of thinking, and planning, and talking.
We love what we do. We love being moms. We love being homemakers. We love sewing. We love crafting. We love decorating. And we love sharing all of those things with all of you.
We feel so lucky to be able to what we do everyday. We don’t want it to ever end! And actually, we just want to be and do things better so we’ve been hatching some plans….
Here’s a little peek at what we are planning:
*This week we’ve been working on finalizing the details for our annual Skirting the Issue Event that takes place every July. (And this year is going to be terrific…we are even planning on holding a girls night out to sew that we will announce soon!)
*We are loving the weekly Saturday Sewing Linky Party here on our blog and are planning on keeping it around for a long time. (Which reminds me…it opens tonight at midnight so link up what you’ve been sewing up this week!)
*Behind the scenes Elizabeth and I have been putting our rooms together for the next “Liz Off”. (A friendly competition between Elizabeth and I….and this one involves redecorating some rooms in our homes!)
*During our last meeting we filled up a notebook full of sketches and ideas for upcoming projects and tutorials. (Lots and lots of tutorials!)
And then there are a few more things…two projects in particular that we can’t share yet…but that we are out of our mind excited about….and that we will get to share soon. VERY SOON. But until then, thank you again for checking in with us, leaving comments, sending emails, and being kind….we appreciate all of it and all of you.
Enjoy the long weekend & Thank you again for all of your constant love and support.

I am looking forward to Skirting the Issue again this year. After seeing your pillowcase posts last year, I started a sewing group with a few of my high school students and we made more than 20 pillowcases to donate to Conkerr Cancer. I am currently washing and folding them to make our end-of-year donation.
