I think I have mentioned before, but we are “in between” houses right now….we are a couple of weeks out of moving into our new house (due to some construction) and so we are living out of suitcases at my parents’ house who were gracious enough to take in 5 more people. And since we are living out of suitcases, there were a couple of sad kids yesterday that realized that their mother packed them NOTHING green to wear for St. Patrick’s Day. Nope, not one green thing. Mom fail. So we borrowed some construction paper and I helped them cut out some shamrocks to stick in their pockets and told them to try and trick people that they weren’t wearing green and boy howdy, it worked. Whew…..green crisis averted.
In other news, I am binding this quilt that I had the lovely Melissa quilt for me. I love her quilting…and have realized that I am a “straight-line-sewing girl.” Free motion does not work in my brain, so I am just so happy that other people can do it, and that I can pay them to do it for me.
I am binding it in aqua bias stripe that you can see peeking out in the picture below.
And I am taking my time hand-sewing it, because I don’t have a lot of fabric, or patterns, or supplies to sew with here! What are you working on this week?

LOVE THE AQUA BIAS STRIPED fabric for the edging on your quilt! Melissa machine quilts beautifully in swirled designs on your triangular patchwork. I like the repetition of the white fabric throughout. When completed, post several full length photos of this QUILT as I’m curious to see how lovely it is in prints of greens &pinks. THANKS for sharing. Sarah Helene, Minneapolis
