Because sometimes a cartwheel is in order…..

I am not a coupon-er, although I wish I were. I have some really good friends that are mind-blowing at it….but I just couldn’t keep up. The clipping, the filing, the wrong math additions (that’s a personal issue) was just more than I could do—which is completely my fault. But I know that there are good savings (my brain says it)! And every time I walk into a store, part of me wants to follow someone around with a coupon binder to soak in all of their couponing knowledge because let’s face it, we all really do need the coupons. But then the realism hits and I don’t ever do it.

So recently when we were approached with a new app that holds clips and scans the coupons for you—I was all about it. Because, hey, there was no clipping or filing involved. It’s Target’s new Cartwheel App and if anyone knows me, I am in Target at least once a week. Sometimes more than once a week because I will share a secret with you……when I need a break from kiddos, I go there and walk the aisles and peruse all the pretty things. Please tell me at least someone else does that?

But you also have to know something else about me. I am technologically challenged. Majorly. Like, I “just joined the world of smart phones in the last 60 days challenged only because my husband pulled me into modern society” and I have to get my kids to show me how to work ANYTHING on my phone. I wish I were joking. I am constantly asking an 8 year old or an 11 year old how to do anything.

But I was going to give this one a try. I was going to download my own app. So, I text my husband.   I think whenever my husband gets a text from me, he is shocked.

“How do I buy an app?” (The kids were at school.)

“Umm….go to the app store.” (Okay, that was the most brilliant answer ever.)

Where is the app store?

So, I find the app store icon and download Target’s new Cartwheel App–ALL. BY. MYSELF. (I was so proud….it’s the little things sometimes.)  But guess what– it is EASY! Even a technologically challenged person can do it! Hip, hip hooray!!! For real.  And do you want to know what the first two coupons clipped were?

Yes. Because they are just yummy.

But I did learn all about the program which they are calling “coupons with a whole new spin” and I certainly believe them. Their belief is to add to the savings on things you already buy onto your phone.  Score one for Target. AND (I am so excited to try this out) you can scan barcodes on the shelves to see if there is a coupon for that item. WOW! Now, I only need to take my 8 and 11 year old with me to the store next time to teach me how to use the barcode scanner.

Thanks Target for saving my couponing. I do think that this is one thing that I can do!!!

    I LOVE Target! The very first thing I do when I get there is browse the dollar section. They always have fun little things for my kids there. And sometimes it’s my place for escape too :).

    I love Target, because like you I like to browse all of the pretty things but am also able to pick up some of the necessaries like shampoo or sandwich bags. And as for technologically challenged…I still don’t have a smart phone:)

    I love the “Red Store” as my kids call it. You can find everything you need and if they don’t have it, you don’t need it!! Cartwheel has saved me some big bucks too!

    I love target because they have a bit more high end selection than the other two large retailers in my town (not naming names lol) I do the same thing; go and jut walk the aisles. They always have stuff I can’t find at other stores.

    I’ve always enjoyed shopping at Target compared to other big name stores. The organization,the variety of items and just the atmosphere. It’s a lot less hectic and I absolutely love the majority of the brands they carry. They’re a store that carries quality items without the hefty price tags for the most and I love them for it. 🙂

    I love Target! However, the closest one to me is an hour away so I do not go unless I’m already going there. But I do think the quality and selection of cute stuff is so much better than Walmart, which we do have in my town.

    Target was also my go-to when my husband would get home and I needed a minute to myself… But that was back when we had one a few blocks away. Now I’m 2 1/2 HOURS (!!!) from the closest one, so I enevitably want to drop buckets of money I don’t have when I get there… This gift card would help! 😉

    I went to target on some of my first outings with my daughter and loved just wabdering the aisles looking…we also buy our diapers up and up and love the affordability!

    I love to roam the aisles at Target looking at all the pretty things too – great escape from the kids and husband! I love Target because it has everything I need and the layout of the stores are nice – not crowded like grocery stores.

    Yes, I love the Cartwheel app! I’ve saved over $100 so far. I can combine it with the mobile coupons and save even more. I like to sort all the deals by percent off and then expiring to see what I want to pick up and when.

    I love Target! It is my go to store, as in I “go to” Target at least 3 times a week! I love that they are always clean and organized and much less hectic than other stores.

    Target is my favorite store because they have everything in one place. I can get all my shopping done and don’t have to go to a whole bunch of stores to get it done. Plus I get 5% back on things that I already buy anyways.

    Target is my favorite store because it has everything I need for a decent price. I don’t have to spend my whole day running from store to store to pick up TP, groceries, socks, and dinnerware. I can do it all in one place. I also love the aesthetic. There is always something beautiful to look at and that definitely makes it easier to spend time there.

    The cartwheel app looks pretty amazing. I’ve seen it floating around but had no idea how useful it was. The fact that I can scan an item I want to buy and it will automatically check it for coupons is pretty darn awesome.

    Target is amazing! I can find ANYTHING I need there. I grab a Diet Coke and a popcorn and escape my reality for a couple of hours under the warm glow of the red bullseye! Pure heaven…even when I get home and show the bill to hubby!

    Love Target for so many reasons. Love the $1.00 items. Always have to check out the kitchen section and the bathroom items and the bedding and the toys for the grandblessings and……….. I just love it all!

    Every time I go to Target the person at the check out asks if I found everything I was looking for. My response “Yes and I found everything I wasn’t looking for and didn’t know I needed!” There’s no other store where I can spend $200 in one go and feel like it was all totally worth it.

    I love scouring the clearance racks in the clothing department, especially the 70% off section. I have found the cutest clothing at the most amazing prices! I also love the home decor section at Target. It always gives me a myriad of inspirational ideas for my home decorating. 🙂

    Target is my happy place. I go there for all of my groceries, kids clothes, household needs, etc. I also go there when I have “me” time, just to walk around and look at all of the loveliness.     Target is the best! I go multiple times per week. I can get almost anything I need there and it is always neat and clean! I LOVE Cartwheel and also stacking manufacturer and store coupons! I’m going to sign up for a Red Card (debit) too for the 5% savings. Why not?

    And Target is my fav because I can get nearly everything I need–kid’s clothes, cards, gifts, home decor, groceries, accessories, crafting supplies, wine… all in one stop! With 4 kids under 6 the fewer stops the better!

    One of my favorite things about Target is no waiting in line!!!! They are always so quick to open a new checkout lane if they see people waiting. This means a lot to me since I am normally shopping with my four kids and by checkout time they have hit a wall.

    I love shopping at Target because … I lived in Colorado from age 6 to 12, then we moved to the South. I could not believe there were no Targets anywhere around. We had always shopped there, I loved the toy section most…lol! Fast forward to my 40’s and Target’s being built in the South. I love walking around the toy section now with my kids, reliving memories, and I get 5% off on everything using their card! 😉
