I have a girlie that is out-talling all her clothes—her jeans, her dresses and her skirts have all become wayyyy too short. So, we are trying to make the winter ones last and adding some Springy things into her wardrobe for the rest of the school year. I keep telling her that her jeans are making darling capris, but I am not so sure she is buying it so it’s a good thing she is still wearing boots to cover up the fact that they are shorty-mc-shortens.
And just yesterday I was staring at this fabric and thought how cute it would be as a paperbag-waist skirt. So I whipped it up in a half-hour (it’s amazing what you can get done when you are on a time crunch?!). I do love paper bag skirts, they are really cute on.
The fabric is Riley Blake’s 2 inch stripes in hot pink…..and it really is just a simple elastic waist skirt. Here is a great tutorial if you need one….
Perfect for pink day…and will be perfect for Spring too (as long as she stops growing soon)!
