liZ and I were talking the other day about how many “unfinished project” we have…and the list is getting long and sad. We were joking that we need to lock ourselves in a room for 2 days to even catch up (which would be so fun, as long as there were plenty of snacks).
So, I decided that I needed to do something about it.
And first on the list was my Retro Travel Tote kit from Fabric Fest!
(It was sitting there haunting me for over a month….)
And yippeeeee, it’s finally done!!!
The lovely Melissa, from The Polka Dot Chair taught this class at Fabric Fest, but unfortunately I was too busy gabbing to get anything sewn during class. I did get it cut out so I sewed it up in an afternoon last weekend.
I love that she included the heavyweight pellon in it….it makes the bag stand up on its own. And I love that about it!
And her tutorial is FREEE so you can make one too. They might make great presents for people for Christmas!!! I love free tutorials….thanks Melissa!

P.S. Do you have unfinished projects? Or are you one of those people that finishes everything they start super quick? (Me, I have 3 garments for Hannie, and 3 for myself all cut out just waiting for me to start….and I am desperately hoping to make some progress this week. I am declaring is “sew, sew, sew” week.

I don’t know if I told you this or not but when I cleaned out me sewing corner the other night I found just over 30 unfinished projects….OVER 30!!! That is pure ridiculousness! And some of them are dresses that I started for Grace but if I don’t finish soon will be too small for Ruth!
It’s embarrassing….

my least favorite part is copying patterns or cutting fabric. so once I do it, I usually finish the project quickly . I wish I had someone who would cut out everything for me so I could just do the sewing part!!! how great would that be! 🙂

Too bad we don’t live near each other – you could do my cutting and I could do your sewing! 😉
