Because sometimes you just need some peace and quiet…

Over last weekend our house was pretty loud. There were vacuums going, friends playing over, music blaring (dance parties are a new thing around here) and it was just plain chaos. Which is fun and exciting and I generally like the sounds of everyone home….but it can get a little loud.

And the three-year old….well, he is use to staying home with mom all day and hearing just us talk and the whirl of things like his mom’s sewing machine. So, when all the general chaos was going on and he couldn’t hear his video game that he had just earned by working to clean up his room—he was not a happy camper.

“It’s just too loud in here….I can’t hear my minions. And it made me hit a big, purple school bus!”

And then I knew I had the perfect plan……recently, we had been sent a pair of Monster headphones to try. So, we got out the box and we put them on. He was mostly impressed with the color (they have all sorts of fantastic colors) but I was impressed with how well they are made. And the cord….it’s durable…which is fantastic, because I don’t know how many cords my kids have broken on headphones. We also found that the cord can go in either ear piece (now that’s genius!) so we could move it when the tablet plug was on the other side.

And he was in heaven.

Because sometimes you just need to play your minion game in peace and quiet.
