A long time ago
in a galaxy far far away
(a year and a half ago in Elizabeth’s van on the way home from a pattern drafting course)
we has this idea to make T-shirts for ourselves and our kids.
And we brainstormed a list of like 150 different shirts that we wanted to make.
But we didn’t have the tools necessary and time went by.
And the idea was put on the shelf.
Until recently a few weeks ago when the UPS man delivered these to our doorsteps:
Brand new Cricut mini’s!!!
(I have wanted one of these forever!)
We both got the same machine and a few rolls of their Iron-On Vinyl made especially for fabric!
(Their Iron-On Vinyl comes in a ton of colors including glitter—I’m totally going to order some gold glitter iron-on vinyl next!)
The other night I finally got a few minutes to try out my new machine…and seeing how it was my maiden voyage…and how this would be the most appropriate shirt in the world for me…I whipped up this little guy:
Because I’m not still 20 I didn’t want giant words written across my chest so I put them back on my right shoulder blade….however, my husband says you can’t tell that’s where they are from the picture above…so we have the picture below….
Its not like you can read what my shirt says from here but, you get the idea…and my husband can quit bothering me about the up close photo that looks like my head is on backwards….
So…now that I’ve tried one…I’m ready to try more…and different designs, and fonts, and colors, and glitter. In fact, I just bought a sack full of t-shirts for my family and I…which means that it’s only fair that I give you a warning…there are more t-shirts to come.
Many, many more t-shirts.
Now that you’ve been warned…the only thing I have left to say is:
“Be excellent to each other. And. Party on dudes!”
See you on Monday!
