Another story….
As a youth and in college I used to visit and volunteer at a Women’s Crisis Center and then later at a Drop-off Crisis Center for children. Usually my volunteer job was to go to the kid’s room and play…..not a hard job….but well worth it to a teenager’s soul.
There we played games with the children, read them stories, rocked the babies and even once we threw them an “Unbirthday PArty” complete with balloons, cake, streamers and small presents. I can vividly in my mind’s eye see all those kids walking into the party room. They were in awe and complete joy…..I am sure that some had never had a birthday party before.
I will never forget those memories. I think those kids did more for me than I did for them….and it led me down a path where I always wanted to do more–because of the joy I felt in my heart. Yesterday I showed you how to make dolls that you can donate to police stations, crisis centers, or other shelters in your area and today we are making car caddies for the boys.
Let’s hear it for the boys!!!!

We thought that Jill’s Car Caddy would be a delightful present for boys. It is a wonderfully written tutorial and is a something that is small, can be used anywhere, and will keep little boys (or big boys) busy for hours. Just the thing that some little boys might need right now……
