I ran across this quote the other day.
I think it was meant for me.
It’s what I’m working on.
(What our whole family is working on actually.)
There are so many distractions…and obligations…and commitments…and things to do that sometimes it’s easy to confuse what is going on with what is significant.
And I don’t want to miss what matters most.
Especially with those who are the most significant.
Here’s to hoping that I can find some wisdom and clarity….
Have a happy Tuesday everyone.

I love your art of homemaking series. I want to share this. It was a post on Centsational Girl of things she found interesting for the week. Included was this post on another blog called Hands Free Mama. The article was wonderful and I think the blog could be a wonderful inspiration to many. http://www.handsfreemama.com/2013/05/22/the-important-thing-about-yelling/ It hit me and I found myself adding words to “Hands Free” as I sat and watched my daughter ice skate. “Hands Free, Hearts Open”. (Maybe it was coming to me from her article–I don’t want to steal her words if so!) It was a very peaceful moment to realize the importance of those words as they can apply to family, friends, strangers, ideas, messages, words spoken, etc.

I love that. I’ve cut down on computer (facebook, blogs) quite a bit this week. I am trying to fit it in (along with crafting time) around my family instead of fitting in my family around it which is what I think I was doing.

sentiments like these are something I need to remember daily, to set the tone for the day… i love when the internet helps me remember, too! 🙂
