Every Second Counts: More Minute to Win It Games!

You know that around here we love the games from Minute to Win It.
We’ve posted about them more than once…like HERE with our $5 Summer Activities for Boys and then again HERE with our $5 Holiday Party Game Ideas. 

So when we heard about a new season of Minute to Win It on GSN we were pretty excited.  And then when Simon heard that he was actually going to get to see a sneak peak of the new season he was over the moon….and it was serious business…sitting up to the counter with a beverage and a snack…all alone so he could “concentrate” on the new episode.

After the sneak peak (which was everything he thought it would be) it was off to peruse the games, challenges, and rules list.  Which is where he found a game that he hadn’t tried yet:

It involves rolling 5 marbles across a table and getting them to stop and stick on a piece of tape at the other end in 60 seconds or less.
This was also serious business.
 
Until of course he mastered it…again…and again…and again…
 
Then he became the master of the marble universe and life was good.
 
Until…
…he got his hair stuck in the marble tape!
But luckily he also got out of that in less than a minute as well.
(Good thing we were only using painters tape and not packing tape!)
 
Like I said before, we’re excited about the new season.  These games are a lot of fun—for the whole family, not just Simon. 
(Best memory of these games ever is the pedometer challenge with the old head banger uncles going crazy in a row….so dang funny!—Photos of that challenge are HERE, but with preteen cousins at a different party—but still worth checking out.)
 
The new season starts on Tuesday, June 25th at 8/7c on GSN—with an all new host— Apollo Ohno!

    Being that kids are still pretty young I think the Baby Rattle blueprint would be fun for them. But we make up all sorts of our own minute to win it games like making a Lego tower up to their belly button or jumping over a pile of blocks. We love playing games!

    Minute to win it is the best. I want to try the Tortilla head game. What’s not to love about flipping tortillas with swimming flippers.

    I’d never heard of this show but it sounds great! I liked their facebook page and have set the TIVO to record it this week. I don’t know many of the games yet but I think I might try ‘Bounce’ with my daughter this weekend since we just bought a bunch of ping pong balls for the ping pong table at the pool.
