I have two more looks to show you this week and then a big surprise coming up later on this week that liZ and I have been working on for awhile. (You are not going to miss it—it really is that good.)
Today’s look was 110 percent inspired copied from Jill’s Peplum Shirt that she made for the ugly pattern challenge. Hers was fantastic and I couldn’t help myself from sewing one up. I used the pattern that I gave you HERE; lengthened the bodice, shortened the sleeves and added a circle peplum (instead of a circle skirt) to the bottom. Easy peezy.
And thanks to Jill for the inspiration!!! She was one of the first sewing blogs I ever started following—and have never regretted it for one minute. She is so amazing!!!
PS–Sorry for the short post—I am up in the middle of the night writing this one, and my brain is not functioning. I think I have written it about 10 times and keep deleting things because they don’t make sense. Arghh…I hate when I do that. liZ and I had a long, fun weekend but we are so tired. Tell you all about it soon. But now I really need to get to into my bed….it is so calling.

This top is cute. I just finished a modified peplum for KCW. Just curious why you are now not showing your daughters face? Conscious decision or just how it happens?

You are really sweet. And I love that top! I’ve been meaning to sew another one for myself. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

what kind of fabric did you use? It appears to have a bit of a sheen.

It’s a cotton poplin blend that has some stretch. I am so bad with fabric names sometimes.
