It’s giveaway day here in the “Ugly Duckling” Pattern series!
liZ and I have rummaged through our own personal vintage stashes and are giving away some of our very favorite things.
The giveaway includes 6 vintage patterns (2 boy’s patterns, 2 women’s patterns and 2 darling little girl’s patterns). We hand-picked our fave looks from several decades…
It also includes 8 of our favorite vintage fat quarters and a boatload of some wicked, awesome vintage trims.
And we will send the whole shebang to one of you lucky readers in a box with some other handmade items.
To enter, leave us a comment about oh…..anything you want (how you found us, a favorite project over here, your favorite cereal, whatever else you want to tell us) and you are in!
We will pick a winner on Sunday and announce it on Monday. We will even give you a second entry if you are our facebook friend (just because you all have to put up with our randomness over there).
Good luck!
P.S. Remember our little trip where we showed our faces for about 5 seconds…..well, the video portion of the contest is now up and we’d love it if you’d go over and vote for your favorite. The link is HERE.
P.P.S Why am I so nervous that we are sharing our faces again? AHHHHHH!!!
P.P.P.S. You can still enter the giveaway even if you don’t vote for us….we will still love you 😉
P.P.P.S.S. Did you see that one of the vintage fat quarters we are giving away is fabric with donkeys on it??? DONKEYS!!! I love it…so much that I can only spare giving away one fat quarters worth. It’s AWESOME I tell you! (And may perhaps be the only item in the giveaway where beauty is really only in the eye of the beholder.)
Ohhhhh vintage trims, droooooooool. Hmmmm, lets see. You were one of the first blogs I started following, I am in love with your use of petticoats under skirts, my favorite cereal is Fruit Loops (although they do cut the roof of your mouth), my favorite dessert is apple crisp with vanilla ice cream (I realize this wasn’t a question, but you are getting the answer anyway)…. Oh and, My name is Suzanne – and I’m a sewaholic ;o)
Wow what a prize. I love you all. I first “met” you from when you competed on Project Run and Play and I have been hooked ever sense. Thank you for this chance!
What an awesome box of awesomeness! I first started following you when I saw you on Project Run and Play….LOVED your Audrey Hepburn look! My favorite cereal is Special K granola. I love vintage things and swear I was born in the wrong decade….I feel like I should have been a 1950’s house wife sometimes 😉 Thank you for the awesome give away! (Oh and I like the word awesome if you couldn’t tell;))
I have a almost four year old who would love a skirt made out of donkey fabric. Thank you for all the inspiration here and on Facebook. I started following your blog years ago for the sewing, but I must admit I really, really look forward to the weekly Housekeeping posts. Thank you!
What a fun giveaway! Yours is the one blog I check every..single..day. I love your posts, and love the classic style of your clothes. I have made quite a few things off of your site, and have a dozen more pinned on my “to-do” list!
This is a fab giveaway! I’m a novice sewer/seamstress and found you via your starboard skirts. My plan was to make them for my daughters at Christmas but ran out if time. This year I’m starting early. Love everything you do and thanks for the inspiration.
PS Love your faces and I voted for you guys!
I’m jet lagged.
I didn’t gain weight in Hawaii.
I’ve only three piles of laundry left.
Tomorrow I organize my vintage pattern beauties in a vintage picnic basket.
How’s that for exciting? Zzzzzzzz I cannot POSSibly stay awake another second.
Goodnight, sweet gals!
Kelley~
P. S. I will win. Yippee!!!
I also follow your facebook. Or should I say like your facebook Page lol

I would extra love to win!
Vintage I love that word and the word retro. I would love, as a beginner, to own some vintage patterns for my twins and I.
It has been really fun to see how talented bloggers have been remaking and re-imagining some of these fabulous vintage patterns. I never seem to have any luck when I go looking for them on my own.
finallyfinishedcrafts (at) gmail.com

mrsrachelsbooth{at}gmail{dot}com
Donkeys! Fantastic. I really love your blog. I work outside the home and don’t have as much time for my crafty outlets and reading as I’d like. Yours is truly the only site I visit every day. 🙂
What a fun giveaway! and a fun series! I love seeing the ‘ugly’ patterns and how they are being reinterpreted!
Oh how cute, donkeys!! What a sweet giveaway, please count me in! 🙂 Headed over to facebook now too! 🙂 Happy 1st day of spring! xo Holly
I love love love your ugly pattern series. It’s so fun seeing what everyone does turning those “gems” into beautiful pieces. I’d love to try my hand at my own ugly pattern!
I love vintage notions. I got a huge box last year through my moms list for $20 full of great rickrack etc.
Vintage patterns?! Yes, please!! Crossing my fingers 🙂
My Gramma actually *gasp* gave most of her vintage sewing goodies away before consulting me! Yes, you can imagine how sad I was, but I’d gladly be a good home for all your fabulous trims instead! ;D
I have been with my husband for 4 and a half years now. the first Christmas we shared I hinted heavily for weeks that I would like him to sponsor a donkey for me from a sanctuary – their was an advert on tv for it and to this day I STILL don’t have a donkey :(. I gave up hinting and just asked yet I am still donkeyless 🙁 May I have your fabric instead please?
I’ve followed you on fb for a couple of weeks 🙂
Ps I liked yesterday’s fb pic and had commented. Great to see the faces behind the blog 🙂
I am in LOVE with vintage items! Thank you so much for the chance to win!
I also follow you on Facebook as Amanda Kaye Grant
Thank you!

Nice, I’ve loved all the pattern redo’s! Um let’s see, what to tell? We’re potty training at our house and my son sat on my lap and peed on me yesterday. Tmi? -Jen
I love the vintage trims you have pictured, thanks for the chance to win
I like you on fb
I have no idea how I found your blog, but this ugly duckling pattern series is great! I’d love some vintage trims and fabric! I used to shop at thrift stores and yard sales all the time but haven’t found places with old sewing stuff since I moved six months ago.
I am old enough that I recognize some of the patterns you have been highlighting as ones from my distant past. I might actually have a few of them. Your series is making me think I need to dig them out and play!
Only just started following your blog, and I’m. In. Love. Thanks for sharing your goodies!
I have really enjoyed your ugly pattern series. It has inspired me to take another look at my patterns
How very generous! I love to sew with my grandma’s vintage patterns, kids’ styles are classic!
Facebook follower too!
Just voted. (You two are so cute!) Great job.
I’m already a Facebook friend.
What a lovely giveaway, count me in!
I’m a Facebook fan already as well :).
I just made my 5 yr old a pair of zip fly pants from a 1971 pattern!
You gals are great! I love reading your blog every day! It makes me smile, and laugh! I am LOVING the patterns this week! How fun! Love your facebook post too!
I love vintage but I don’t usually sew that style. I would love to win so I could start =D I <3 u on facebook too =D
I cast my vote! You girls did great. I can’t wait to hear that you’ve won. 🙂 Good luck! (and now I really need to make a bubble skirt!)
This box of goodies looks like fun! I am actually making some of your little girl maxi dresses this weekend. I have been a facebook fan since you started a page a few weeks ago. Thanks for the laughs and the great project ideas!
Well ladies, on my computer screen you have lucked out. I can’t even view your video–there is a huge ad on the right which for some reason your video is way over there also. I will still vote for you, but wanted to see your faces:)
So generous! And so vintage! I love it. I really like your posts. They are so inspiring! Love, Mij
I have loved this series. So much fun, thanks
I am a facebook fan
I love trim!
Your blog is amazing! It truly inspires me and makes me excited to sew!
You had me at vintage trims 🙂 I’d have to say this is probably my favorite series to date. So much fun and definitely gives a different perspective on patterns. The crazy drop waisted overalls was definitely my favorite.
I wish I could find that sort of thing around here, but I rarely find anything in the way of sewing stuff at thrift stores.
I love vintage! I have three of the sheets that some of those fat quarters came from. One of which I made into a Peter Pan collar blouse by modifying your Vintage Dress tutorial.
https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/311348_10151256963379887_1327078767_n.jpg
Plus to vintage? I can buy a sheet from GW or SVP for two bucks and a pair of pajamas, a blouse and a nightgown and still have some leftover to make pillows for Wub’s room.
And who doesn’t love donkeys?
I love your blog and started following you after seeing you on project run and play. When I saw your starboard skirt, I was hooked and just had to make one for my little girl.
Hope I win some vintage awesomeness 🙂
You two are so dang cute!
Oh, it would be so much fun to make a tote bag with donkey lining because donkeys carry things! I am starting to build a pattern stash and some of the vintage ones fit me better than the modern styles.
I love reading blogs like yours, you inspire me to sew! I learned when I was a kid, but I’ve never made much of anything. Reading sewing blogs makes me more confidant that beautiful and worthwhile things don’t have to be that hard!
(p.s. I also follow you on FB)
I liked you on FB 🙂
Oh my goodness Gem! I love this story! Every year for Christmas I buy “sponsor” lambs through Heffer International (It’s my Christmas gift to myself.) And when I taught school my classes used to pool their lunch money throughout the year so we could sponsor goats.
One day you’ll sponsor that that donkey….

That is an awesome idea!
That is an awesome idea!
I love vintage patterns! And fabrics! And trims!
Estate sales are a great source for all the above.
I was hooked with the very first pattern post about the tulip halter top…great series!
I love this series! I too love the vintage patterns and trims…I inherited a bunch from an aunt 🙂 Luckily, I sew mostly for my niece, and she loves the older styles too! Your blog has been an inspiration for many of my projects. Keep up the great work!
I love your blog! I actually can’t remember how I found it, though. Sad.
I’m a sucker for anything sewing related, vintage or otherwise! This series is so much fun, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of your guests make with their ‘vintage ugly’s’! I’m a facebook friend too! Thanks for the chance at the giveaway!
Anne
I love following your blog. It is one of the few I’m sure to always check.
I’m a Cheerios girl. Except I don’t eat them much. 🙂 My breakfast usually consists of toast, peanut butter, and honey. Yum! 🙂
That looks like a fun package to receive. I found you at Project Run and Play. I was immediately stricken with your vintage inspired designs. I’ve also been following you on facebook because the entries amuse me 😀
Lovely! Thanks for the chance.
lovelydomesticdiva (at) gmail (dot) com
Your projects always inspire. I enjoy watching you use patterns such as these to create something modern with that *special* SimpleSimon vintage flare. …would love to enter this giveaway!
What an awesome giveaway. I hope the featured patterns are not considered “ugly ducklings” because I love that toddler girl’s dress! 🙂
I think I found your guys through Project Run and Play before you took it over (so glad you did! LOVE PRAP!). Love your style. 😉 rosie at mckeent dot com
Awesome! Many thanks!! I have saved so much money by just referring to my garage sale finds when I need a little bias tape or a zipper or some piece of randomness.
I recently came across your blog through Sew News. There was a link to the Sew It All Casting Call Contest. I love Vintage, whether it is patterns, fabrics or notions. I was pleasantly surprised when the first thing I saw your blog was all about Vintage. I recently have created a simple blog trying to inspire myself to get projects done but after checking out yours I have to admit I am in AWE! What a wonderful informational site. Your site is equipped with so much, ranging from techniques to inspiring designs. I can see that I will be spending days catching up on all that you have to offer. Just hope my boss doesn’t look over my shoulder during upcoming days. Over the course of the last few months I have been cataloging all of my vintage patterns, while still scouring local flea markets and thrift stores to add to my collection. I am always hounding my friends and colleagues to ask their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles about patterns and fabrics. It usually starts out with “So, did your grandmother ever sew when you were little?” and leads the way for me to ask “Do you think she still has anything that she or he might be willing to get rid of?”. I think they see me coming and moan under their breathe, waiting for the never ending questions about their families sewing past. I have decided that I would not call myself old, I am of vintage years. Everything old becomes new again.
I love your blog! You girls are amazing! 🙂 thanks for sharing!
I love giveaways… Thanks and blessings!
The random comments here had me rolling! LOL! I have been following you since you appeared on PR&P (I’m a die-hard fan from the very first season) and love your style.
Right now my morbidly obese cat is staring lovingly at my lap, and in a move of self preservation, I must deny her access.
I’m a FB fan, too!
I’m so thankful that I found your site! From your delightful creations to your style to your posts on the art of homemaking – I adore it all! Andddd…I love all things vintage so I’d be over the moon if I won 😉
So fun!! Hmm….one fun thing is I have had this adorable Paris fabric sitting on my desk for over a YEAR because I can’t find the *perfect* dress pattern for my girls. Sigh. I seriously need to get on it.
Ooh…I forgot to add that I’m a facebook follower as well 🙂
I would love to would this giveaway and really enjoy your blog!
Oh man I so want this! I am so sad that other people want it as well! But maybe I’ll get lucky!
Tiffany
I’m a fan on FB as well!
Random commentary, how fun! I have a design floating around in my head for a ruffled placket maternity top… but I need fabric to sew it with. And first, I need to sew up something for my husband, plus a few hats. We’ll see how that goes! =)
I “just” entered the craft blog world about two years ago. EEEK! Two years has flown by! I have loved being inspired by people all over the world including you two. I am in the fun stage of increasing my fabric stash since I just started sewing a year and a half ago. I think I have 6 fabrics in my stash and this would DOUBLE it! Thanks for the chance! Suzy
Such a fun giveaway. I love making updated versions of vintage patterns. I made a hat in the style of the San Diego Hat Company using a boys’ baseball hat pattern from the early 80’s. Who knew? Thanks!
I am a FB fan. Thanks for a great giveaway.
Pick me! Pick me! Huge fan of vintage patterns and trims and of your blog! Thanks for all the inspiration!
I love seeking out vintage patterns. I have my favourite spots to look. I keep getting caught, though forgetting to check the size. I figure kids patterns are ok … They can always grow. But I’ve ended up with some great women’s patterns in sizes I hope never to grow into.
So very fun. My friend Hillary and I are talking about you guys everytime we hit the Garment District in LA and think, “Man, wouldn’t it be fun to meet up with them there?” Next time you come to LA, let us know!
This has been such a fun series! I haven’t yet much ventured into changing patterns, but this is certainly inspiring me to stretch!
great give away and great vintage pattern series. i also follow on fb 🙂
I love Honeycomb cereal!! It’s true. Oh and I am a FB fan too!!
This week has been one of my favsssssssss. Your blog is the vary first site I go to every day so I can see which pattern you’ve given to your “guest” and checking out what she managed to do with it. I actually want to try something like this with some of my “I know them in person” sewing friends.
I visit here often. My favorite project is the any occasion skirt. My favorite cereal is maybe Fruit Loops although I haven’t had much taste for them after having my twins. I’m a Taurus (May 7th) and I LIKE WINNING!!!!!!!!!! I also have a FABULOUS sense of humor 🙂 Please RANDOMLY pick MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Thanks for the chance!
Pick me, pick me! Would love some vintage fabric with donkeys on it!
Is it weird that I want to make an adult sized version of the brown dress and orange coat you made for PR&P…yes, definitely the coat too
I love your blog and have followed it for quite a while. You have inspired me with lots of your projects…but I have to say that this ugly pattern series has been my favorite! So fun!
I just ran across your blog Abd I do have to admit hat I love you guys! Such neat little projects!
came across your audrey cape a while back…made it for my little one and have never looked back…love the easy way you explain things which seem daunting…thanks…hugs
What a great series this has been! I even found a few gems in my own stash. Totally laughable.
I would so love to win. I love your blog, very fun! Thanks for sharing.
How fun! Favorite cereal: (at the moment) it’s Marshmallow Mateys 🙂
Thanks for the chance!
So much fun stuff! I sewed my first vintage pattern last summer; a 1950’s girl’s dress complete with circle skirt and peter pan collar! I loved sewing it and have wanted to do more.
What a fun giveaway! Since I can tell you anything I’ll tell you that I had a tooth removed today. And because I’m still nursing I only had local anesthesia. So thats that. Can I have that awesome stash of vintagy goodness now pretty please?
And I like you on facebook.
i like you on facebook
you guys make so many fun things! I can’t wait to see the spring look books and I’m hoping to be able to do something similar for my girls someday, but right now I’m lucky to sew for half an hour some days!
I adore your blog and found you through pinterest around the holidays. So far my favorite projects has been the series of Love skirts…fabulous!

Also a face book fan!
Love those goodies!! I love all the different things you do here on your blog – projects, household talks, look book(s), etc. I love getting ideas from you…. I’m still searching for a pattern to do that swingy-top-with-fur-pockets you did a while back. I have my pockets, but not a reliable pattern…. tutorial perhaps? 🙂
Wow I am a sucker for all things vintage: patterns, trims, fabric…those look awesome! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂
Love the goodies! Thank you for the opportunity!
ooh, ooh, ooh…. pick me, pick me, pick me… please! I adore old vintage patterns, and fabric, and just about everything else. And not to be sycophantic, but someday, someday, I too will be as creative as you. Until then, I just appreciate from afar.
I love your blog, you inspire me to get off my hiney and make something with my fabric supplies, you guys give me courage and thats a lotta precious loot to be giving away!!! xxx
What a fun giveaway! love your blog.
Oh, how I love all things vintage! I actually made my daughter an “Alice in Wonderland” costume from a vintage pattern similar to the one pictured above. Uber cute! 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!
Love your clothes but am super infatuated with your Halloween costumes! You are so very creative! Spaghetti and meatballs! Morton Salt Girl! Oh Yea!
I ‘Like” you on FB!
OH WOW! I would love love love this. I have bought a few vintage patterns online recently and just love love love them. Not to mention you CANNOT find vintage trims and such these days without going to estate sales 🙂
I first found you 3 years ago when I started sewing looking for free patterns and tutorials. Yours have been a go to numerous times now. I went from never sewing to now having an ETSY store online, sewing for a boutique in New York, St. Louis, and Sarasota. It is a full time job now. I need to hire a crew soon 🙂
I hope to win! YAY
Yeah!!! A give away I would love to win because that’s what I do. Everything I make I give away 🙂 I love sewing for my little “adopted” girls. And hearing of a new baby coming makes me all giddy!!! I love everything about y’all. And am thankful for Pinterest for leading me to you!!!
This giveaway is all me – I’m forever blowing bubbles in thrift stores looking for the ugly patterns and glory box fabrics and trimmings – they were all so much better then – so I make myself old fashioned aprons and put my babies in bonnets and short dresses with lace on their pilchers poking out, love when you can see their dimply knees above their lace trimmed socks – thank you so much for indulging what I have to say about vintage patterns and wishful thinking – sorry I don’t Facebook or I would like your page but if you moved in next door I would like your face peeking over my fence!
you girls always have fun things on your blog!
I found you when I googled green vintage dress. I’ve been in love ever since. SS is simply my favorite blog. Not even brown nosing.
OH YES PLEASE!
I can’t remember how I found you, but I am very glad I did!
You all are all sorts of awesome.
~Michelle
I follow you on FB too:)
You are making me look at garage sale patterns in a whole different light!!! Thanks for all the ideas.
Best give away ever!! I found you a couple of years ago in the Children at Play Flickr pool when you made super cute Jammie’s and had a darling photo shoot. I have been following you every since! You girls are awesome; thanks for a chance to win!!
So fun! I have been eyeing some 70’s patterns from my mom, but have yet to try making anything from them. I did make a dress for my little one this Christmas based on your sweet vintage holiday dress pattern, and loved how it turned out. I originally found you on pinterest…
Vintage Rocks!!! You gals are awesome!!!
I found you blog hopping….I love the inspiration I get from all of the sewists in blog land. Looking at the trim reminds me of my mom’s sewing closet years ago. The old patterns are so fun to look at and think about updating. I now have your site bookmarked and I visit it frequently.
I adore the vintagely modern skirt tutorial…I think that’s how I first came here! The vibe is just so me, and I love creating my kids’ clothes with help from you! 🙂
Oh, and I’m a FB fan!
I love vintage fabric and today is my birthday. What better reason to win? I even made a dress today from my grand daughter with a vintage sheet to celebrate.
Now that’s an AWESOME giveaway!!! Thanks for the chance…
Now following on facebook….
My very favorite patterns are the vintage ones from my grandma. Especially when there are clothes she made with the pattern that my mom still has. So fun!!
Hmm. I’d def use the little girls pattern on top…my niece has an upcoming pageant- one of the competitions is “forest wear”. Since everybody else will be dumb fairies, I’d do the little dress with a little red riding hood cape and a basket. Thanks for the inspiration- we had no idea what to do until now!
Oh this is such a fabulous giveaway!!! Goodness!! I don’t even remember how I found you 🙂 But I totally LOVE everything you do 😉
xo

I love sewing, saving money while sewing, using up my stash (the object which invalidates my aforementioned saving) and reading fun blogs like yours! Thanks for the chance of a lifetime with all the vintage goodies!!
You gals have got to be the MOST Rockin-est blog out there!!! What a Fabulous giveaway! I love any/every thing vintage!! I also love Cheerios Medley cereal right now! Yummo!
Thanks for the giveaway! kweenbee_612@yahoo.com
Of course I like you on FB! Who wouldn’t?!
kweenbee_612@yahoo.com
I think the first time I found you was for the orange polka dot coat and brown dress, and I was in love. I adore little girls in vintage silhouettes. These fat quarters and trim would go on my lil miss Edelweiss!
Whoa, all patterns must be very great! First time I landed on your blog because I’m a newbie in sewing world and I wanted to make something easy. Voila! The Endora Top really impressed me and the tutorial is pretty easy. I tried my best to make it and my other muse is your tutorial of Starboard Skirt. I think it is pretty easy and it uses elastic. 🙂
That top pattern is adorable! Love so many of your projects. And I don’t like cereal. I’m more of an eggs and bacon kind of girl!
Oh how fun! I’m totally into quilt making right now. I started with making a fleece backed flannel quilt for a friends baby, then a patchwork quilt for my boyfriend, and next will be a cathedral window quilt. So excited to make that, but for now, with no sewing machine I’ll just start collecting fabrics. 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway! I’ve never used a vintage pattern before, but I’d love to give it a go!
I’m a fan on facebook 🙂
I love donkeys, although when I was little my Dad used to joke that donkeys were my Mothers relatives hmmmmmm….. I know he’s not very funny 🙂 And I do like you on facebook too, very entertaining 🙂
I need the donkey fabric.

Also need that top little girls pattern.

Hahaha hmmm let’s see…my favourite colour is blue and my dog’s name is Orange Kisses 😀
I love the idea of using vintage patterns and changing them into clothes I’d actually wear. What a fun idea!
I just love vintage patterns. I found an old box of things in a basement closet at my parents house filled with some awesome vintage patterns that my mom sewed with when I was growing up along with a number of fabrics and cross stitch books. My grandma just dug out some old Barbie patterns that she used to make us dresses with too. My sister found two wonderful containers of vintage women’s patterns that were absolutely awesome at a thrift store – and she gave them to me too! (Only because they just moved to Switzerland) So, I loved your ugly vintage pattern series – there really are some doozies out there.
PS – I’m also a facebook friend
PPS – My fave cereal is a tough one. I’m loving Pomegranate Mini Spooners right now
You had me at donkeys!! Every time I see a donkey I am automatically in a good mood, no matter what. I am so much in love with them that we are looking into getting a few for the yard!! I love everything you do and so does my daughter who benefits from my work!

Love your video! I’ve made that bubble skirt several time…always a fav 🙂 Also, thank you for the homemaking series. You don’t know how many times a day I think, “touch it once…” and try to go actually put things away! Love these “ugly” patterns!
nicolebomeli at gmail dot com
I have loved this series. Thanks for the inspiration.
oh and I’m also a facebook fan!
I’ll have to be sure I don’t judge a pattern by it’s cover. Time to go thrifting!
Thanks for your giveaway! I found you guys via all the cute little girl things you make. I love them!
Such a fun series thanks for the giveaway

A truly awesome giveaway. I’m so happy I stumbled onto it and can now be a fan on FB too. I am always favoriting vintage patterns on Etsy and now I’m drooling over these. …and my favorite dessert is Key Lime Pie, just because. 🙂 I forgot my email the first time (just in case) simplybeu(at)gmail(dot)com.
Hooray for Donkeys! I just took my kids to see Donkey Basketball at our local high school. Pretty entertaining! Thanks for the giveaway. tristiemangus@hotmail.com

Oh thank you so very much for the chance to win this. I’m in my second semester with my second and don’t know if its a boy or girl. I’m looking forward to weeks of “nestling” and making things for both my little ones.
Thanks again. Love from India.
Awww that’s wonderful! You know I never thought to treat myself 🙂 Maybe I could get a ‘family donkey’ now that I have children 🙂
This is an awesome giveaway! You provide such great inspiration to fellow sewers! Love your blog and all the ideas you share.
Carolyn
I found your site through IKAT’s blog about her ugly pattern makeover. great work
I am excited to have found blog through ikatbag and even more bummed that GoogleReader is disappearing when I have something so cool to add to my feed.
I found this through Homemade by Jill’s blog about the pattern challenge. I actually love the cute, full skirts on the little girl’s vintage pattern and would love to adapt that for my little girl!
I’m sorry, I forgot to put my email address: c_taylor4{at}hotmail{dot}com
I love love love the ideas you come up with when you’re revamping a vintage pattern!!! You inspire me to MAKE SOMETHING!!! 😀 I would love to win these patterns and see what creative-ness comes about!
I would life to win this giveaway! And I love avocados!
I would love to win this giveaway! And I love advocates!
Anything, eh? Hmm. I decided to make my boys luchador masks so that when they have beef with each other, they can take it to the ring, and I’ll know to leave them alone about it. Match is over when somebody taps out or cries.
found you by way of Craferhours. Thanks for the giveaway!

I want this prize so badly I can hardly stand it. I have a collection of old trims and I knwo that those trims want to come to my house and make friends. I also am in a desperate state over the little girls pattern. I have started my own collection of vintage sheets so they need to come play also. I WANT IT and I want it all.
I think I grew up with one of those “vintage” sheets!

Oh man oh man oh man! I want that donkey fabric! So fun! Thanks for generously parting with some of these treasures!
I’m following you on Facebook!
OMG, I love this blog… I found you through project run and play and have loved you since. I don’t think I will win, I never win anything, but if I win this I would be happier than winning a new sewing machine. And that’s saying a lot!
I love anything vintage and have really reached out learning to draft patterns a little on my own by following your blog! I have made the vintage modern skirt for my 6 year old and we both love it!
I love your fun vintage style! I first found you when you were on Project Run and Play and you have been one of my favorite blogs to stalk ever since! Oh, and I definitely follow on Facebook!
I love vintage patterns. Well, I just love patterns.
I love your blog!! You two do such an awesome job. I don’t keep up with all the blogs I follow but I pop in on your more often then most.
Thank you so much for the chance.
I love this Ugly Duck series you are doing! I also love that dress pattern on the top. I have always loved vintage patterns but have never used them. Thanks for the chance.

I can’t remember how I found your blog! I’m new to sewing and I’m finding SO MANY great sites, and getting confused with them all!
I love vintage patterns and agree that most have some wonderful element. I have made many children’s outfits from patterns of the 30s-40s-50s (my favorites). Great giveaway!
I am also a facebook follower. Found you thru Frances Suzanne.
I would definitely like to try something “new”, just like this. Love what you do, by the way.
I’m here via ikatbag and I think it is a fantastic idea to make over vintage patterns – love rummaging through them at the second hand shop : )

This series is so fun!
What an awesome giveaway! I used to have several vintage women’s pattern and for some unknown reason I gave them all away. I guess I thought I wasn’t ever going to sew but now that I have a daughter and my sweet friend bought me a sewing machine I have started sewing again. Plus, I have two boys so boy patterns are awesome as well! Thanks for the chance!

Aw man, thanks so much for the giveaway! I’d have to say my fave cereal is plain old Cheerios. But I also enjoy the honey nut variety on occasion.
I just found you through Homemade by Jill’s post on the ugly pattern. Love the idea! I’ve.wanted to try sewing some clothes but I don’t want to invest too much into it at first so thrift store patterns is a great way to go! Love this giveaway!
