I recently needed a thank-you gift for someone that was especially kind to me, so I decided that something handmade one was in order. I decided on a zipper pouch, but wanted to add a few special details to it–and found that pintucks were just the thing I was looking for.
I didn’t do a full tutorial but I did run across a “cheat sheet” that I used when I taught a class on making zipper pouches last fall. (The dimensions of this particular bag are a bit bigger—I did 9″ by 11″ inch rectangles), but otherwise it is the same way I make zipper pouches every time. You can right-click on the image to save it and then print the page out for yourself if you need a quick tutorial. Sorry it’s my lame-o handwriting….I decided about 30 minutes before the class that people were probably going to want a “refresher tutorial” to take home and make more zipper pouches.
At the beginning of my zipper-pouch-making I could never remember where the zipper went in the sandwich…..it was so confusing to me. So, even if you need a cheat sheet just for that….it’s in there.
