So back HERE in October I got to try a new pair of glasses from Firmoo.com. It worked out perfectly because awhile ago Grace and Ruth destroyed my old pair and I really did need a new pair of glasses. (Plus I felt cool thinking I would be getting a new pair of glasses for free. It wasn’t until later that I realized that they give new customers their first pair free. Anyways…)
I’d been enjoying my glasses for several weeks when Firmoo.com contacted me again asking if I’d like to try a pair of their Nerd glasses. Yes and yes.
I admittedly am not a big wearer of the glasses…no real reason I’m just more of a contact girl…but the glasses I’d already received were fun to wear (even if I mainly just wore them in the evenings or for late night reading) and “nerd glasses” sounded like something made just for me.
I had a devil of a time choosing which pair to order…I finally narrowed it down to three pair and then just let the kids choose. Now, potentially that could have been a really bad idea but it worked out for the best. When my glasses came I liked them even better than the first pair. And I’ve actually even worn them out and about…something I haven’t done for years.
It’s been kind of fun wearing glasses again.
The frames are great and I think I could get used to being a glasses girl again. Especially if I keep perusing their site and find frames like these and these and these…all of which I’d like to try.
Firmoo.com is a great site. I am so glad that our paths crossed.

Before I sign off today I just want to wish everyone happy holidays. Elizabeth will be back tomorrow but I won’t be until after Christmas.
Right now we have a house full of sick kids—baby Ruth and Grace with pneumonia and Simon with the flu. It’s been a long week but I’m not complaining…too much anyways. I always say I’d love an excuse to have everyone here at home with me and now I have my chance. Sure, it’s not exactly when or how I would have planned it but I’ll take whatever I can get. I’m just happy that we are all together and safe.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. As always, thanks for stopping by.

I have a terrible astigmatism which prevents any contacts from being comfortable at all. Imagine having 3 eyelashes in your eye all day, and that’s what wearing contacts is like for me. I wear glasses every single day and usually end up spending a couple hundred in an optometrist shop. I have been eyeing firmoo.com for a couple of months and have wanted to discuss someones experience with the company. For example, do their free glasses come with prescription lenses? are the lenses extremely cheap and look like the old “coke bottle” and “birth control” glasses of the past? How reasonable is the shipping? and if the product was not given to you for free, would you spend the money to buy them from firmoo? or would you buy from another company?

Super cute, Liz! Sorry you’re all sick, but it is nice having everyone home and not running all over the place, but I hope everyone get well really fast. xoxo, merry Christmas!

Marty—
To be perfectly honest I’m not sure if the perscription lens are included in the free price or not. I do know that both of my pair have perscription lenses and I don’t feel like the lens (or frames for that matter) look cheap. And when I want another pair of glasses I would totally go with Firmoo again…they have been nothing but easy to work with.
