I am almost embarrassed to post this as a tutorial but after the last heart shirt went over so well, I added another heart one into the mix for Fall/Winter.
The inspiration for this shirt came from this darling shirt and I thought the idea was so simple and cute. The hearts are cut from felt and just sewn up the middle so they are three-dimensional in real life. I love felt for that reason.
I am now brainstorming other felt appliques to make and sew on….and some boy ones are next!

Post Edit—The shirt washed perfectly and I see many more felt appliques on the way!!!!
oh i heart these 🙂
awww… my son would love hearts on his clothes. Can’t wait to see the boy stuff!
very cute – I’m not usualy a heart person, but you may be winning me over for baby girl!
the shirt is so cute, my girls would really like it! Have you tried washing it? How is the felt holding up after wash?
Very cute top. I’m also interested to know how it holds up to washing and what type of felt you used.
So sweet and simple! I love it!
Keen to try this now! How simple 🙂
simple and cute, love it!
Very cute! I would also like to know how it holds up to washing. I have a lot of felt and have thought of doing appliques with it but worried about washing. Guess I should just try it and see if it works!!!
So cute!! Does it wash well? I think I’ll have to try one for CB 🙂
