One of the projects I did for Project Run and Play last year was a pair of “Audrey Hepburn” pants to go with this outfit. It was the most-worn pair of pants in Hannie’s drawer, so the one thing I knew that had to be in the collection were another pair.
These are made out of stretch denim (the same as the pencil skirt) that I got at FIDM in LA. They are basically a straight-legged pant with a waistband and side seam zipper. Last year’s version I traced from a pair of leggings. This year I drafted them from her bodydraft (sloper) that I made in the summer.
And I finally got a picture of the coat.
(What you don’t see in the background is the storm clouds rolling in behind her and the snow that started 5 minutes later—but we got a shot 😉
I do have a few other odds and ends from the Lookbook that I will show you (including this skirt as a tutorial and the two shirts that I am hoping to get the patterns digitized) but there are a few Halloween projects to share and then you all HAVE to see Liz’s collection. I have yet to see it in person—I have only heard the ideas and color story—and am anxious to see it.
Happy weekend everyone!!!!
P.S. Thank you for the nice comments on the looks….it really means a lot.

such great looks – I love the highwaisted pants – does the waistband stay up because of the stretch denim, or does it bunch as she plays?

I love the Audrey Pants. I found some black satin cigarette pants on clearance at our H&M last year right after you did the Project Run and Play. I love them on my little girl!
My friend and I are totally hooked on shopping at the Garment District… next time you guys want to come out do a whirlwind trip, we would love to play Hostess and chauffeur! We know some of the local secrets and would love to share!

I have that exact same stretch denim I got at FIDM too! I buy most of my fabrics there every month. I made Gigi’s jodphur pants for my Project Run & Play Chanel outfit from it!
