As you all know by now, I am always so inspired by classic childrenswear from the 1950’s and 1960’s. So, I tried to take the looks and feels of classic children’s shapes and silhouettes from those decades and then make them modern. (I have some fun neon accessories-not shown-that a certain 7-year-old loves…so those got put in the looks too.)
And I hope I succeeded…
In the week (or so) ahead I am hoping to show you my original “looks” and then add some creative outfits that are mix-n-match.
I am usually not nervous to post things I’ve made…but the funny thing is….today I am. I really like the collection in real-life, but the cloudy/rainy days have not been helping the looks on camera. Hopefully today we get a bit more light to get some better pictures.
Up tomorrow….my inspiration board. See you then.

Beautiful! I love how the colours coordinate so well. Can’t wait to see more of the details!
Gorgeous! I had fully planned to make a whole Fall collection for Caroline this year, but these kids have me so busy I can barely keep up with the stuff I HAVE to do let alone what I want to do!
Looks super cute! Can’t wait to see the details!

LOVE it!! Can’t wait to see more!!!!!
love love love the colors in this collection!
Ooh, lovely! I can’t wait to see the “Mix n’ Match”. The pink and grey is beautiful.
So excited to see all the details and the looks in action! Your colors are beautiful!
You’re teasing me with all the cuteness!! Can’t wait!
I can’t wait to see how you pair them up!
Oooh I just LOVE the colors you chose and this sneak peek looks like they translated into absolutely ADORABLE outfits. Can I just say, I used to try and do this but with shopping, just using a color story, until my kids started requesting things like purple glitter skinny jeans which did not fit in well with my color story but were absolutely charming and I just couldn’t say no. Anyways, what I’m trying to say is this makes my color-coordinated borderline-ocd little heart just pitter-patter.
that is my favorite clothing era, too, and i am always on the look out for clothes and patterns with a 50’s/60’s feel. Looking forward to seeing what you have created!!
I have a weakness for pictures like that. Isn’t it so fun to think of all the possibilities of how to coordinate items? I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS IDEA!!!! I think I might be stealing it for the spring!
Elizabeth! I am amazed by your collection. I wish it came in my size! Truly. You are a magnificent designer.
